2018 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN- Stafford, VA
The vehicle began to shake and sputter on the highway. We were lucky enough to be able to pull over safely. This could have caused a major accident on a very busy highway. The check engine light came on. Called roadside assistance and had car towed to a mechanic. The mechanic shop said there was a recall on the vehicle and I needed to take it to the dealership. The car was towed to the dealership and the dealership said while there is a "general" recall, the recall was vin number specific and my vin number was not included. The recall number is 18v-524 related to the PCM Voltage. This is a KNOWN defect but Dodge did not include all vin numbers. The recall needs to be expanded to include this vehicle.

The passenger-side headrest AHR randomly failed and deployed the headrest (while driving at low speeds on local roads). Pictures have been taken and the headrest is left in place as-is for the dealership to inspect during service hours. The defective plastic retention bracket assembly suddenly broke and released the headrest, and can not be reset. There are no warnings for this now widely known manufacturer defect, yet Dodge has no reasonably effective resolution. Had the seat been occupied at that moment the active head-restraint failed, it would have caused serious head injuries to my family or myself. Had it been the driver-side headrest that malfunctioned at that moment, that could have injured me while driving and created a serious traffic accident. A limited extended warranty to repair a faulty component after an incident on a known cost-cutting defect that randomly injures occupants (at least 71 injuries have been caused by this known defect) with great potential to lead to fatal traffic accidents is unacceptable.

2016 DODGE CHARGER- Alexandria, VA
Smelled fuel leaking inside car towards rear seat. Electrical connector to fuel pump had fuel surrounding it (located under back seat, on left side of car). Upon disconnecting connector, I notice two right most pins of connector (on pump) had a burn mark which cause a hole and allowed fuel to leak out.

2018 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN- BRONX, NY
i received communication, regarding my 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, stating that the warranty has been extended for the Sliding Door Power Lock Actuators. My passenger door lock actuator does not work and needs to be locked manually. It seems Dodge knows there is a problem, but has not issued a recall. I feel this is a major safety hazard, especially when I travel with my young grandchildren. If I use the electric lock function but forget to lock the passenger door manually it presents a safety hazard to the children as the door is not fully secured. I have enclosed the letter from Dodge regarding the problem. This was also listed asDOT Phone complaint # 11651258 Thank you.

2020 DODGE DURANGO- Birmingham, MI
There is a software defect that could result in injury or death: if you forget to turn the car off and exit the car with the car key, there is no warning. I am hard of hearing and sometimes do not notice that I did not turn the car off because I cannot hear the hum of engine, and, because the car uses a key fob, rather than an ignition key, you can leave the car with the key but while the car is still on. I park the vehicle outside, but if I parked it in an attached garage carbon monoxide could seep into the house, something that is known to occasionally result in deaths. The car's software knows that the car is on and knows that the key fob has left the car. At that point, there should be a beep of the horn to warn the driver that something is amiss. Seems like a serious liability issue for the car company and something that would be easy to fix: a software update.

2022 DODGE CHARGER- BRUNSWICK, OH
I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an alignment issue with my 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody, which remains unresolved despite multiple visits to an authorized Dodge dealership. I have been meticulous about maintaining this vehicle, including performing regular 4-wheel alignments and rotating the tires at every oil change trying to remedy this issue. Despite this, the dealership recently informed me that the camber on the vehicle is off by 1 degree do to the control arms not being long enough when designed. Most concerning is that I was told there are no factory parts available to bring the alignment back within proper specification. Tires are being replaced with less than 10k miles on them for uneven wear on the insides of the front tires causing them too bald quickly. After multiple years of going to one dodge dealership that would state it was fine after an alignment, I finally got an answer that the control arms are short not allowing correct adjustments earlier this year and 30k miles later from another dealership. This has raised several issues for me as a customer who purchased a high-performance vehicle expecting both quality and support from Dodge. An inability to correct alignment within factory specs using OEM parts suggests a potential manufacturing or design defect, and I believe it deserves further investigation. I would appreciate your review of this matter and a response with your recommended course of action. I am seeking a resolution that ensures the camber can be corrected appropriately without compromising the performance, handling, or tire wear of the vehicle.

I have a continuous and ongoing problem with my draft shaft specifically the carrier bearing. This part has been giving me trouble for over a couple of years now and feel like it's going to break every time I pull in reverse and my local dealer manufacturer currently has no recalls for this which in 2018 they did.

2019 DODGE CHARGER- Leadner, TX
We purchased our vehicle from Big Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, located at 15711 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. We drove 3 hours to buy this car, and at no point did the salesperson disclose the open Takata side airbag recall during the sale process. After the sale, we met with the finance director, Chris Schnooberger, who handled our payment and paperwork. He also failed to inform us of the airbag recall or the serious safety risks it posed. Our conversation in his office was recorded on their in-house camera system, per dealership policy. Once we returned home, we discovered the airbag recall through the NHTSA website and were shocked to learn how dangerous it was. We were terrified to even drive the car knowing a faulty inflator could potentially send metal fragments into the cabin. We had the airbags replaced at a Dodge dealership in Austin on or around April 29. We purchased the vehicle on [XXX]. I still have the pictures of the Carfax detailing the recall. When we called Chris to express our concern, he downplayed the situation, claiming the recall was not serious and didn’t need to be fixed. His tone and evasive answers felt dismissive and dishonest. My family and I feel cheated and manipulated. There was no transparency at the point of sale, and we believe this is a serious violation of consumer safety disclosure standards. We respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this dealership’s handling of recalls and safety notices to protect future buyers.
