There is a problem with the rear middle light on the lift gate. Water is getting into them and shorting them out then leading it to need a replacement. This is an on going issue with dodge Durangos. Something needs to be done with this design flaw on the Durango’s because they charge 1400 for the part plus labor for it to be replaced when the light wasn’t built right

Leaking transmission oil cooler, due to clamp installation by factory. Known issue which dodge created service bulletin for but does not correct sending bill to consumer, for manufacturer defect

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera image was completely black. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The rearview camera was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.

The driver side window randomly stops working. The motor and the switches have been tested and are functioning correctly. There is no known cause at this time.

The back up camera has stopped working, sometimes it is a black screen, other times it's just a series of colors with no image. This makes it hard to back up safely.

I will be driving the vehicle and it will go completely dark, no electrical function, shuts right off in the middle of traffic. After a period of time, everything will power back up. This happens randomly and is very dangerous. I took the car to the dealer and initially, they said it was the battery. I replaced the battery and just as I got in the car at the dealer, the car went dark again. This time they were able to see that it is still happening and so far they have not been able to find the cause. I've read online about at least 3 other people having the same issue with no solution found to date. Currently the vehicle is at Courtesy Chrysler in Tampa, FL.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she smelled a gasoline odor on the interior of the vehicle, after which several unknown warning lights on the instrument panel started flickering. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway to shut off the vehicle, after which the vehicle failed to restart. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed failures with the alternator and the ignition switch. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic, who then diagnosed a failure with the transmission control module. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V542000 (Power Train) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was 180,000.

Power train, transmission output shaft fracture could result in a loss of power, increasing the risk of a crash. if the parking brake is not applied before exiting the vehicle, the vehicle may roll away despite the transmission being placed in park. The vehicle has been inspected. There are warning lights. They appeared 02/29/2024

The driver's side sliding door is stuck in the locked position and the passenger side sliding door is making a loud buzzing noise when unlocked which means that one is next to go out from what I read. If both of them get locked this poses a major safety issue getting small passengers out of the back in case of emergency. There have been many instances of this reported on these vehicles and even extended warranties issued but only for a select amount of vans even though it seems to happen on every one ever made.
