I own a 2014 Fiat 500L with 60,000 miles. The vehicle is actively suffering from the dangerous safety defect described in Recall T19/17V192000 (engine limits itself to idle speed and zero acceleration from a stop, even when the gas pedal is fully pressed). The local dealer and Fiat corporate refuse to address it because they claim a software update was performed historically. The initial remedy has completely failed, the vehicle is unsafe to drive, and the manufacturer is refusing to fix a recurring safety defect." This is the EXACT known problem in only this year and model, the 2014 fiat 500. It is a known software issue and it needs to be addressed. It is causing me to get stuck at lights and stopping traffic at intersections. Any supposed fix was done over 10 years ago when the car was fine..it was done then only as it was on the recall list, so I thought it had to go in, but I didn't have the acceleration problem at the time. (They may have seen it didn't need the software update and didn't do it) This recall issue was either not resolved or it's back again..I can floor the gas and car doesn't move. I have to put it in neutral a few times from drive to get it to move. It's the exact problem known on this car under recall and only the software reset can fix it. Please help me get it fixed! Thank you. (It's very dangerous for me to be stopping traffic at intersections when I'm stuck at Green lights. This is the exact problem in the exact car the exact year it is known for. This recall is good permanently on this car.)

When the automobile isn’t driven or started for 3 weeks or more the engine will not start. The multiair system will lose its oil pressure. The manufacturer needs to do a recall to fix this problem. This car isn’t designed to be an everyday driver and this is a well known and documented problem.

The contact owns a 2016 Fiat 500X. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH through a green light, another vehicle driving through a red light and attempting to make a turn, the front bumper of the contact’s vehicle crashed into the front passenger’s side door. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle safely and had a passenger in the front passenger-side seat and another in the rear middle row seat. The contact was adamant that the air bags should have deployed. The contact sought medical attention for whiplash, chest pain, bruises, a sore stomach, swollen right leg, and left leg. The contact's front seat passenger sought medical attention due to additional damage caused to a previous medical procedure on the right calf. The child passenger sitting in the rear middle row seat sought medical attention for back pain. The contact stated that the local Fire Department arrived on scene to extinguish a fire under the hood. The source of the fire was unknown. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard; however, it was unknown whether it had been declared a total loss. The local dealer where the vehicle had been purchased was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

3 times my car had died going under 30 mph, it must turns off or goes into this neutral position and won’t let me change gears, when i restart it, the engine makes an awful squealing sound. all these “drive mode unavailable “ “check esc system” “service electronic brake” it seems it is related to the S55 / 16V529000 safety defect …. “intermittent switch to neutral while driving”

The contact owns a 2016 Fiat 500X. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle using the Push-to-Start button, the engine failed to crank or start. The vehicle was started after the fifteenth attempt. Additionally, the contact stated that the brake pedal was extremely firm and difficult to depress while attempting to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

The clutch went out while downshifting upon making a turn onto a street. The gear shift became wobbly and would not shift into any gear. This happened without warning. Minutes before, my passenger and I were driving across town on a freeway.

I was driving vehicle and it all of a sudden get stuck in gear in either park gear or some other gear that wont allow me to turn engine off. Sometimes it just slow down to a stop and will not go into gear again for a while or appears the gears are not engaging putting me at risk for accident on highway. Systemic Hydraulic Defect & Safety Recall Circumvention I am reporting a critical safety defect in the clutch hydraulic system of my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth, which directly mirrors the failures described in NHTSA Recalls 16V-302 and 20V-124. Diagnostic measurements confirm a 1.23mm hydraulic over-travel in the clutch release bearing/slave cylinder assembly. This over-travel causes the diaphragm spring to be over-extended, leading to the catastrophic failure of the pressure plate and subsequent inability to disengage the clutch. This poses an immediate safety risk of vehicle surge or inability to shift gears while in motion. Despite this objective engineering data, Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) Executive offices (specifically Mike Macdonald) have formally refused to perform the safety recall repair, citing my status as the "5th owner" as a justification for exclusion. This represents a willful circumvention of a federal safety recall, as the hydraulic over-travel is a latent design defect present since manufacture and is entirely unrelated to ownership history or vehicle maintenance. The vehicle is currently available for inspection to verify these measurements.

I received a letter stating that there was a recall emissions/catalyst efficiency,I have called a fiat dealership several times to get this fixed and it never did, now I am seeing that there is no recall now. So I'm confused on what's going on. U90 is the emissions recall number.and letter said there are others w80

While driving not able to accelerate , loss of power and check engine light . By turning the engine off sometimes resets and sometimes doesn't.
