I am reporting a dangerous engine defect involving coolant intrusion into the combustion cylinders, specifically Cylinder 4. This is a known design flaw in the 2.0L EcoBoost engine block (referenced in Ford TSB 19-2346). My vehicle is experiencing a persistent misfire, loss of coolant without external leaks, white smoke from the exhaust, and a "waterfall" air-pocket sound in the dashboard. This defect poses a significant safety risk. The engine is prone to sudden stalling or entering "Limp Mode" while driving at highway speeds, creating a high risk of rear-end collisions. Furthermore, the internal coolant leak causes severe overheating and allows flammable fluids to enter the exhaust system, which presents a fire hazard. If the engine "hydrolocks" while in motion, it could lead to an immediate loss of power and power steering, making the vehicle impossible to control safely in traffic. Ford is aware of this defect through internal Technical Service Bulletins but has not issued a safety recall. They are currently requiring owners to pay $8,000–$10,000 for a full engine replacement once the powertrain warranty expires, despite this being a fundamental manufacturing defect.

No incident has happened yet, my complaint it that there is a safety recall that can affect the rear brake lines on my vehicle, and if the fail it could cause an accident. This vehicle is 9 years old and there still is no solution available from the manufacturer!!! This certainly doesn't seem like a timely way to address a brake related safety recall.

I was driving the vehicle and the brakes failed. The Ford dealership said that the parts were unavailable for the repair. I took to my local repair shop. There was a brake system leak and it needed an emergency repair. Ford is refusing to reimburse the repair even though their website and dealer say the part is unavailable from them.

The check engine light is on and upon diagnostics it shows there is an issue with the EVAP purge valve. This cause the vehicle to have problems starting when refueled. Cost of the repair is around $1000 due to where the valve is.
