2018 FORD EDGE Complaints

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle would shake and fail to turn over before starting. The check engine warning light would occasionally illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that coolant had leaked into the engine block. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with an error code: P0302 (cylinder #2 misfire) engine coolant leak and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was left at the local dealer for further repairs and was not repaired due to cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
