I was stopped waiting in line at a security gate. I was approximately 10 feet from the vehicle in front of me. A police officer started to walk between the vehicles. My foot was lightly on the brakes when suddenly the truck started surging forward. I immediately jammed as hard as I could on the brakes but my truck continued to move forward. I was forced to slam the shifter into park. There was a loud grinding noise and it startled the police officer and she jumped out of the way. , my truck stopped just before hitting the vehicle in front of me. My truck has the 10R80 transmission and it has now completely failed at 16000 miles. The vehicle completely locked up but fortunately I was moving under 10 mph because it would have been catastrophic had I been going faster. It became immediately undrivable. The dealership has tried to fix it but as of today after two weeks in their shop, can’t even get it out of park.

The design of this and similar model vehicle headlights are excruciatingly painful when on during night and day to oncoming drivers and to those drivers where the vehicle approaches from behind. It is unbelievable that our own government agency, NHTSA, that is set up to protect the public allows such blatant harmful headlight designs on vehicles. You may thank you are accustomed to the high intensity LED lighting, but I bet every time one of these LED lite vehicles approaches, you squint, look away, are partially blinded, and distracted without knowing it. Maybe now you will. Stacking these damn lights totally disregarding the health and safety of the public!!

I reached out to the Ford Motor Company’s recall department at corporate headquarters on 1/7/2026, regarding the safety recall for my 2024 Ford F-150. My truck has been at my local dealership since November waiting for the necessary repairs. The hold-up is due to the replacement part being on back order, and I’ve been informed by a Ford representative that it won’t be available for dealerships until the third or fourth quarter of 2026. This situation is extremely concerning for me, especially since I rely on my truck to tow a travel trailer. I would like to know how we can expedite this safety recall. Can you help me with my issue with Ford? I have not found another avenue to express my safety concerns for my truck. My Ford case # [XXX] Safety recall notice # 25S83 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

This vehicles headlights are too bright and too high up on the vehicle. I am blinded anytime one is in oncoming traffic or behind me. It is a hazard while they are around because I can not see in my mirrors and have lingering spots in my eye sight long after I am away from these vehicles.

The headlights of this car, and many cars of this modern age, have headlights that are blinding and make it significantly more difficult and dangerous to drive at night.
