2019 FORD F-250 SD Complaints

Driving around a light curve on a highway at posted limit of 60mph, had a severe death wobble. It did it again around a second curve as I was attempting to slow down.

We are experiencing issues with the AC / Radio Control Head in our 2019 Ford F250 Super Duty, Crew-Cab Truck. Some of the controls for the AC unit are inoperable specifically the re-circulation control. As a result, the AC system is delivering humid air, and the system is also delivering extremely unpleasant odors into the cab of the vehicle. Some more serious than others including, exhaust fumes, engine compartment oil and gas odors, and sewage odors when stopped at an intersection. This has been going on for over 6 months now and the local dealership including Ford customer Service continue to inform me the part is on back order. After researching this further, it appears Ford is experiencing this problem with their Explorers, and it has become a recall for this model. This has become a serious issue for us as we experience nausea, headaches and our clothing absorbs these odors causing ongoing discomfort. This is my work truck, and I have associates and customers in my vehicle. It has caused me unwanted stress and tension as a result of these issues. I believe this is occurring with other F-Series trucks as it is noticeably clear there are no parts available. I have called several dealerships throughout Arizona and across the country, no one has them available. One dealership had a part in Michigan however, they were holding it for a customer. They advised me their customer is experiencing the same thing we are with our Truck. I believe this should be registered as a recall for this problem considering what I have uncovered during my research. This is a serious problem that will only get worse if not resolved soon.

The black plastic "roof rails" on the roof of my truck began cracking several months ago - I reported this to the dealership and just got excuses. I showed this to my dealership again on Friday and they said they would look into it. Today while driving the truck the entire roof rail came off and flew into traffic on the highway.. luckily no one hit it or did it cause a crash, etc. However when I did look this issue up on the internet it seems Ford already has an active recall for this type of problem on another model car, however google searching the issue with my truck I found hundreds of complaints on different bulleting boards, and the other problem is apparently Ford is not covering the replacement of this part, and the only way to replace it is to remove the rear window (which has also resulted in MANY shattered windows) Ford did a recall for a similar issue with the Ford Explorer - The Ford reference number for this recall is 21S22. I fell this is an issue that should be addressed and how Ford plans to fix this as I even purchased an extended "platinum warranty" from Ford on this vehicle - - yet now they are refusing to do anything I dont have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix or risk shattering my windows.

Driving at highway speed 65-70 mph, I drove across a rough patch of road. This rough patch was along a curve in the road. The truck from end violently vibrated, and it felt that I didn't have steers control of the vehicle. I lightly tapped the brakes and the vehicle began slowing down, while the truck drifted into the adjacent lane. The vibration continued until my speed dropped to approximately 35mph. It's was like the truck reached unstable resonate frequency. Initially, the vibration was some but grew violently quickly, and seem to continue to grow violently until I slowed the vehicle down. It wasn't a safe condition for me or other cars around me. Much less for the people in the truck who were shocked with fear. I'm traveling across country with an RV, I'm just lucky that the RV wasn't in tow at the time of the violent wobble. For what I read online, ford was aware of this hazard, and never shared this with me or the original owner. That is unacceptable.

Truck was purchased used in Sept of 2023. Shortly after the truck started suffering from Death Wobble. All steering tie rod ends (all 4), track bar shocks and steering stabilizer were replaced. Tires were rotated Ball joints were checked and were good. Truck still has death wobble. I'm sure this is why the truck was traded. Ford has declined to repair under tsb 18 2268 due to build date.

When driving down the highway 60 mph hit a rough patch on the highway. It caused the truck to start shimming where it felt like it was going to fall apart now known to us as the death wobble. The driver was with some difficulty to control the vehicle reduce the speed and pull off to the side of the road.
