2019 FORD F-250 SD Complaints

I experienced the death wooble on my 2019 f250 took truck to ford dealership and had the steering dampner replaced as this what ford says causes the problem but a week after it was supposed to corrected i was driving on the interstate and hit a ruff spot in the pavement and experienced the death wooble again . This was on11/04/2023 . So the part ford says should correct the wooble didnt fix it. Still have death wooble .

Driving on the highway at speeds above 60 mph and hitting seams or bumps in the road, the front suspension starts to violently shake. It is random when it happens. The shaking causes the whole truck and steering wheel to shake uncontrollably. The only way to stop the shaking is to slow to below 40 mph. This happens at random places and times. There is no warning and the entire truck and steering wheel is fully involved in violent shaking within 3 seconds.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH, the front end shook violently, and the contact lost control of the steering wheel. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced the death wobble. After decelerating to 25 MPH, the vibration ceased. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the tires were replaced, and an alignment was completed. The manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

I was driving on US 59 while pulling a 30' Airstream Travel trailer with my 2019 F250 truck when the steering system started violently shacking preventing from controlling the vehicle. The truck and trailer veered across the center line before I could regain control. I was traveling 65 mph at the time. In May 2023, I was notified by Ford that the warranty for the steering damper had been extended as there have issues with steering system vibrating excessively preventing control of the vehicle. This need to be change to an immediate safety recall.

I was driving on I-215E in Las Vegas on October 16, 2023 at approximately 5:15pm, and I hit a bump in the road around 1 mile west of the I-15 interchange. I was moving at approximately 65 MPH and my truck started violently shaking. I was forced to come to a nearly complete stop in rush hour traffic to stop the shaking and ultimately had to pull over to the shoulder to take a pause before being able to continue my commute. Fortunately, I was not towing my boat, but I feel that this could have been a deadly accident if I was towing. This is a major problem.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V644000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and determined that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

I was exiting off interstate when my truck suddenly and violently started shaking out of control. I thought i had a blowout at first but after i slowed down i recain control over truck and it smooth back out. This has happen a few times in the past but not as extreme as this time. I ould have lost control and wrecked if i hadn't have been already exiting off interstated. This happen on 10_14_23

Death wobble has occurred multiple times. First in Dec 2021, truck had 15k miles. Was driving down the road and entire truck began to violently shake, was hard to keep the truck on the road without wrecking and hitting someone head on. Took to dealership and they replaced the steering stabilizer. Happened again Jan 2023 with 23k miles. Took it to dealership and they changed part again. Then in April 2023 it happened with 26k miles. Once again they changed the steering stabilizer. The most recent was last week Oct 2023 with 33k miles, the truck began to have the death wobble none stop on my way home. It was so bad that I had to pull over numerous times. The 1st time it happened, it kept pulling and shaking so bad that a car had to run off the road to avoid me hitting them head on. I could not drive above 40mph the rest of the way home without it occurring over and over. After arguing about getting the problem fixed since it was no longer under original warranty, they still have my truck a week later. So far they say they have changed the steering stabilizer again, the steering stabilizer bar, and the track bar. Right before they closed they sent a message saying it was ready to go, but I wasn't able to pick it up in time. This is a horrific experience when you are traveling at highway speeds and this occurs. It is the most violent shaking I have ever experienced. Feels like the wheels are going to fall off and you cannot get it to stop until the speed drops below 40mph. That creates another huge risk if you are in heavy traffic on the interstate and you have to slow down to 30mph below the speed limit and figure out how to get to the side of the road without causing an accident with a vehicle that you cannot control the steering in. When it happens I get wheel decent control fault, hill start assist warning, antisocial brake system fault, and roll stability control fault.

Death wobble. Already had the right front side fixed for this issue several years ago. It’s now occurring on the left front side. Had it happen 6 different time in one 6 hour trip. Happens pretty much anytime at hwy speeds now. Especially at bridge transitions.

Massive steering wobble at interstate speed. Very dangerous. Only 29000 miles on vehicle
