I was driving the truck on the highway and out of nowhere the front end and steering wheel began violently shaking with me nearly losing control in traffic. I had just purchased the vehicle used 1 month ago. It has 76k miles and is out of warranty. In doing some research it seems Ford is well aware of this issue and has not issued a recall. The issue is exactly what is shown in you tube videos being called the death wobble

FUEL FILLER NECK ROTTED AWAY ALLOWING FUEL TO RUN DOWN THE INSIDE OF THE FENDERWELL. THE FUEL CAP LIGHT DID LIGHTUP. THIS VEHICLE HAS 25730 MILES ON IT. THE FILLER NECK WAS REPLACED BY MY SERVICE CENTER. I NOTICED THE LEAK WHILE FUELING ABOUT 200 MILES FROM HOME, AND HAD IT CHECKED UPON ARRIVING HOME.IF I HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT THIS WOULD ALLOWED FUEL TO LEAK.

The DEF fluid heater has failed. This can cause failure or DEF delivery to the system at lower outdoor temperatures. This component has already been subject to a NHTSA recall in earlier year models of tge same truck, up to model year 2015.

This vehicle is part of a fleet vehicle that I received new. I originally complained to the dealer that the vehicle has a front-end wobble. I was told originally that it was either the tires or a bad rim. I recently received new tires and the wobble has become unbearable. It is called the death wobble from the reviews I have seen online. When you are driving, the entire truck vibrates so hard that you feel as if you are on a roller coaster. The faster you go, 60-65, the steering wheel shakes with difficulty holding onto the wheel. I searched recalls and there have been none. My concern is that this can lead to an accident and either I or an innocent driver/passenger in another vehicle can be harmed due to the lack of repair or concern of Ford Motor. I called the owner of the Fleet and haven't heard back from the equipment manager. I did contact Ford customer service and reported this. This issue has been present but recently it has become difficult to hold onto the steering wheel. The weather is nice now but if it were in bad weather, this is a DANGEROUS situation. I initially thought it was a flat tire or a broken ball joint or stablizer arm, but it isn't.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A TRUCK FROM A SMALLER CAR DEALERSHIP ON FEB. 16 2021. THE VEHICLES ODOMETER READ 109,000 MILES WHEN I PURCHASED IT. IT'S BEEN A COUPLE OF MONTHS NOW AND I RECENTLY DECIDED TO RUN A CARFAX REPORT ON THE TRUCK AND IT SHOWED ME THAT THE TRUCKS ODOMETER HAD ONCE READ 136,000 MILES, AND 142,000 BEFORE IT WAS LABELLED AS "POTENTIAL ODOMETER ROLLBACK. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER THIS POTENTIAL ODOMETER FRAUD WAS LABELLED BY CARFAX THE TRUCKS ODOMETER WENT TO 109,000 MILES, WHICH WAS HOW MANY MILES IT SAID THE TRUCK HAD WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I BELIEVE THAT I'M DEALING WITH ODOMETER FRAUD, AND I NEED TO GET THIS RESOLVED ASAP.

AT HIGH SPEEDS 65 PLUS WHEN A BUMP IS HIT THE FRONT OF TRUCK AND STEERING STARTS SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND DOESN'T STOP UNTIL YOU SLOW DOWN TO BELOW 20 TO GET IT TO STOP. THIS VIOLENT SHAKING IN THE STEERING/FRONT END CAN CAUSE LOSE OF CONTROL AND HAVING TO SLOW TO SUCH A SLOW SPEED ON INTERSTATE CAN CAUSE ACCIDENT AND INJURY TO SELF AND OTHERS. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WITH LAST EVENT YESTERDAY AT WHICH TIME A SEMI TRUCK ALMOST REAR ENDED ME.
