2019 FORD F-250 SD- Wyoming, DE
My vehicle has the death wobble and it is getting worse. When the vehicle is operating over 50mlh and hits a bump, it can begin to shake violently and will not stop until I slow down to 25-30th. This is difficult on trips with my camper and on mountains on interstate highways.

While driving our 2019 Ford F250 Superduty at highway speeds it develops a "death wobble" at this point it is very difficult to control the truck and the only way to get it to stop the violent shaking is to come to a stop. This is a known problem for Ford and they claim the parts are on backorder and it'll be months before parts are available. This vehicle has been inspected at a Ford dealership twice but lack of parts makes it so it cannot be fixed. The vehicle begins shaking violently on uneven roads at speeds of 55mph. Aggressive braking to reduce speed is the only way to stop it. The ford dealer admits this is the “death wobble”

At highway speeds (about 60 or more) when you hit almost any bump, the truck becomes almost uncontrollable due to the front end shaking.

The F250 will violently shake in an uncontrollable and unpredictable manner on occasion. It typically happens at speeds over 40 mph when encountering any variation from perfectly flat pavement. Ford has an extended warranty to cover the engineering and design failure of some portion of the steering and suspension system; however, the part is backordered and unavailable to make the covered repair. The vehicle is available to be inspected. The engineering and design flaw causes the vehicle to become uncontrollable while trying to come to a stop endangering the occupants as well as anyone or property in the path. The problem was confirmed by a ford dealer and was stated “it is a known issue with the vehicle” It has not been examined by anyone other than the ford dealership. There were no warning signs from the vehicle; however, an internet search revealed numerous incidents that sound identical. Ford was contacted multiple times, they said they would contact me in reference to a solution 3 times. They never did contact me, when I was able to inquire I was met with an indifferent attitude about my safety and others safety.

When at speeds of 50 or more or when driving on a bumpy road we experience extensive steering wobble to the point that the truck is thrown into another lane.

My complaint is commonly know as the “DEATH WOBBLE”. This has been going on with Ford trucks since at least 1973. I have personal experience. The problem is while driving on the highway, if you hit just a small pothole, the truck begins to shake violently and will not stop until you slam on the brakes and slow considerably. This is extremely dangerous on the highway with the possibility of loosing control. It’s bad, and Ford has known about this for at least 50 years.

When hit a bump a in the road the front end goes into the so-called Death Wobble. It is a really bad shaking of the front end like your wheels are going to come off. Had to slow down really fast and move to the side of the road. What causes this and how can it be fixed so myself or someone else if injured or killed.
