2019 FORD F-350 SD Complaints

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the front wheels and steering wheel began to shake abnormally. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact slowed down and continued driving. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that she continued to experience the failure and the death wobble while driving. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.

Driving on freeway at 65 mph I hit a small bump on the overpass and my truck steering wheel started to shake uncontrollably. The wheels were as if they had not been balanced and I had very little control of my truck. I felt that I didn't have any control of my vehicle and I could hardly hang onto the steering wheel. I was able to merge off to the side and once I got to a lower speed of 25 the truck seemed to go back to normal. I took the truck into a Ford dealer and they told me it was considered the death wobble. They did some adjustment and sent me on my way. They told me there has been no recall on this issue.

I have read about the Ford F-250/F-350 Death wobble. It happened to me yesterday, 5/10/22, twice. I hit a bump at 55-60 mph and the front end started shaking like it was going to come out from underneath the truck. I had to stop on a 2 lane road with no shoulder to get it under control.

Experience death wobble on front suspension 5 times yesterday on Highway 30 in Nebraska. Violent shaking and had to pull to side of road to stop the vibration. Slowing down on the highway at speeds of 60 mph placed risk of accident based on vehicles behind me on the highway. No warnings, generate every time after hitting a bump in the road surface.

The steering linkage damper fail. Yes it is available. Pulling a boat trailer on the 40 and had significant unstable steering. But was able to slow down and regain control. Yes confirmed by a dealer. No warning lights but we requested replacement at dealership last week and was told that it was fine and they would not replace unless it completely failed. Started A couple weeks previous to dropping at dealership.

On several occasions while driving at highway speeds (60 and above) the vehicle begins to violently shake after crossing over uneven pavement such as expansion joints or rough spots, ( Death Wabble) The only way to stop the shaking is to slow down to about 20 mph. Doing this in the middle of freeway traffic is extremely dangerous and quite alarming. After the first couple of times the dealer replaced the steering dampening system 6months ago,, it solved the problem for a time but it has now begun again. The vehicle has only 33,000 miles on it, unfortunately this is the 2nd ford f-350 I have had this problem with the first one was a 2012, the dealer had rebuilt the front end twice to try and solve the problem both time it worked for awhile and then returned. When I traded it in for the new 2019 i was assured ford no longer had the problem. This issue seems to be very common with these trucks and Ford should address the issue before there are serious accidents as a result of this issue.

The Famous Ford Death Wobble....comes and goes mainly when running speed limit on hwy and come to a bridge or hump in road...feels like your going to loose control...sometimes its so bad have to pull over..It puts myself and employees at risk plus could easily put others in danger.... Have contact ford dealer....first time took in they said tech couldnt get it to do it have another appointment because it seems to be happening more and more...just getting upset paying this much for a truck and there is so recall yet to fix...common problem its all over the internet, no lights of any kind and yes available for inspection. Truck has done it here and there since 15000 miles and only has 34000 on it now

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 MPH, the tailgate opened automatically. There were no warning lights. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed with a faulty tailgate. The tailgate was rewired; however, the failure reoccurred consistently. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 44,473.

UNKNOWN. Death wabble!!! Very scarry, I am concerned that this wabble is going to cause a serious accident and injury to me and others on the road. Also, serious damage to my truck.

“Death Wobble” Several times I have had a mild bump in the road and almost completely lost control of the truck. The entire truck begins vibrating violently and I have to break hard to regain control.
