2019 FORD F-350 SD Complaints

what happened is commonly called "death wobble" which was a violent shaking of the steering wheel at highway speed.

Ford is aware of an oil separator issue causing failure and sludge build up and has not issued any recalls or information for the consumer. Also, the back up monitoring fails in cold weather due to condensation build up in the lights.

Issue is commonly known as the 'Ford death wobble' where the front end begins shaking violently at highway speeds and does not stop until the vehicle is rapidly slowed down and/or stopped. Control of the vehicle could be lost during this type of event and having to rapidly slow down is a safety issue for other drivers on the road as well. I will be scheduling a service appointment with a dealer, but this issue has been happening widely with Ford trucks for years and is known widely in the Ford owner community.

driving on 2 lane state road ran over a small rough area the truck started shaking badly happened so fast I was in oncoming traffic. I over corrected and went to the other side of road, I stopped the truck. I have been driving for 40 years and never been so shaken. I'm a disabled vet with over 20 years of service to our country. I want to enjoy life by not having a truck manufacturer causing my death or someone elses. I just bought this truck, and now I'm afraid to drive it. thanks truck manufacturer!

WHILE TRAVELING DOWN AN 8% GRADE HILL, I APPLIED MY BRAKES TO SLOW THE VEHICLE AND THE STERRING SUDDENLY SHOOK VIOLENTLY. I COULD NOT CONTROL THE VEHICLE. I REGAINED CONTROL AFTER THE VEHCILE SLOWED GOING BACK UP A HILL. THIS WAS TERRIFYING FOR MY FAMILY. I HAD TO DRIVE ANOTHER FIVE HOURS FEARING THIS WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALER WHEN I RETURNED HOME AND THEY INSTALLED A STEERING DAMPER SAID TO BE ABLE TO PREVENT THIS IN THE FUTURE.

Driving at approximately 40-50 mph and the front end and steering wheel shook violently… had to come to a complete stop to make it stop to regain control of the vehicle on an interstate!

We were driving on a highway at about 70 mph when the front of the vehicle began to violently shake as if we blew a tire. We slowed down to about 40 and the shaking abruptly stopped. This is not the first or even the second incident. No one seems to know what causes it or how to fix it.

Hit a pot hole, at 65 mph with the front wheel. The hole truck started shacking violently, and I about loss control. I stood on the brakes, and vibrated into the emergency lane. Since shortly after purchasing my brand new 2019 F350, I have periodically experienced "death wobble" when traveling over 55mph and hitting bumps. The steering wheel shakes uncontrollably and I must quickly slow down to less than 30mph to regain control of the truck. Ford has replaced the steering stabilizer twice. The second stabilizer was supposed to be the "fix" for this issue. Today it happened again while driving on a rural road at about 55mph. I almost lost control of the truck before I could get it slowed down. I drove it to the dealer and they replaced the steering stabilizer again, but this time I had to cover the cost.

While driving on a highway and hitting a small bump the truck starts shaking violently. It caused me to lose control and almost caused me an accident. This has happened a few times and I’m now afraid to drive it. I have not taken it in for repair since this should be a recall that I should not have to pay for. There is only 10,525 miles on it. This flaw is going to end up getting someone killed. This problem started over a year ago.
