NHTSA Complaint Draft Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2022 Ford F-350 VIN: [XXX] Recall Campaign: 25S75 / 25V455 Mileage: 38606 Problem Description: My 2022 Ford F-350 is subject to recall 25S75/25V455 (low-pressure fuel pump failure). Ford notified me on July 8, 2025, that no remedy is currently available. The recall states the fuel pump can fail, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure and engine stall while driving. This creates a serious safety risk of crash or injury. Despite acknowledging the defect, Ford has not provided a remedy, a timeline for repair, or safe alternative transportation. I feel unsafe driving this vehicle, and I am still financially responsible for it. Safety Concern: The risk of the engine stalling while driving, especially at highway speeds, creates an immediate danger to myself, passengers, and other motorists. Resolution Sought: Require Ford to provide a safe loaner or rental vehicle until a remedy is available, OR Require Ford to buy back or pay off the balance of this unsafe vehicle until the defect is resolved. Loss of power to trailer brakes. Lights work, brakes get no power. Tested at plug on truck, no brake power, fuses checked, all still good. No messages for disconnected trailer.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350. The contact stated the check engine warning would illuminate on cold starts and would remain illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Reductant Heater and Sender Assembly on the 6.7L diesel engine needed to be replaced. The mechanic related the failure to Ford Customer Satisfaction Program Number: 18M01(Reductant Heater and Sender Assembly Repair). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that the VIN was not included, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350SD. The contact stated while driving at 5 MPH, the vehicle shut off with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact used a diagnostic machine and diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the high-pressure fuel rail and high-pressure fuel rail sensor were defective. The contact replaced the high-pressure rail fuel sensor; however, the error code remained. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact self-diagnosed the vehicle and retrieved a code that the low-pressure fuel rail was defective. The contact also discovered oil leaking out of the O-rings where the fuel injectors were located. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle with a defective low-pressure fuel pump. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated that while driving over bumps in the roadway, there was a clanking sound coming from the steering column. The contact stated that the failure became progressively worse over time. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.

The fan clutch assembly failed and as a result the drive mode would not change from tow/haul mode to any of the other 4 drive modes. Accelerations and decelerations were negatively affected as a result creating safety hazards when driving. The engine was always responding as if a trailer were attached and subsequently accelerations were difficult and decelerations consistently utilized the trailer engine braking system, similar to semi-trucks utilizing the Jake-Braking systems, This is a significant safety issue and needs to have a recall issued for the replacement of these fan clutch assemblies.

Sudden loss of acceleration at highway speed. Engine sputtered and died as I coasted to a stop on a two lane bridge. Very dangerous location. Was able to restart engine. Ford dealer at next exit. Checked out and no codes thrown. Advised to keep driving until recurrence. Took to hometown Ford dealership and after three days reported no codes, no recurrence, and no problems detected. Advised to keep driving until recurrence.

The contact's husband owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle lost motive power with the check engine warning light displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) needed to be replaced. The contact initially assumed that the vehicle would be covered under warranty; however, the warranty did not cover the repair. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was repaired out of pocket. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

Driverside rear axle snapped.There is a recall right now for the 2023 with similar issue. The truck is sitting at Murray ford in kingsland,ga waiting parts to completely replace a new axle. It does go into park or anything

My truck is only 3 years old. However about 3 months ago I noticed my rear view camera quit working. I only get a black or blue screen. Every other camera still works. I know there are over 1 million ford vehicles with this exact same issue that are under a recall. I would like to know why mine is not. I do not think it is fair I have to pay to repair an issue that’s covered by over 1 million other Ford vehicles.
