2019 FORD F-350 SD Complaints

Steering suspension has been failing over and over for months. Several severe incidents while driving 70+ mph down the road. Complete loss of control of the vehicle, uncontrollable death wobbles. One incident put me in a ditch, while the others were near collisions. First incident - was no longer able to drive above 30mph without sever death wobble. After “repairs”, recreated the issue at 75 mph and I’m unable to drive safely above 35 mph. Ford has confirmed many parts needing replacement but will not take ownership in replacing them. First incident -$5,300. Second incident - nearly $2500. There were no warning lamps, messages, or any notification of failure prior to incident. The entire front end of these vehicles need to be recalled. There is a class action lawsuit for a reason. I’m unable to sell my truck, or drive it do to costly RECURRING repairs. I’m fearful for my life in my Ford.

We are trying to make it out of the mountains of Colorado and back home to Missouri. We have the most horrific shaking on our truck. I am scared to death. This "death wobble" is TERRIBLE! I want someone to know now in case we die! We have a horse trailer loaded down with 4 horses and 2 dogs. There should be a recall for this!!!! An OBD2 engine code of P2002 came up, so I took it to my local Ford Dealership. While it was at the dealership, I did a little research and found out that this crack on the DPF filter was a common occurrence on 2017-2020 F250 and F350 Powerstrokes. Ford is aware of this problem but they told me that my warranty would not cover this, as it was a "filter"! This crack is located on the piping right before a flange connection! It is a factory weld that is cracking in every one of this diesel trucks! I was quoted a repair cost of over $6300 ! This is outrageous and I refuse to pay this much for a "filter " because only the dealership can replace it!

The local dealer was contacted. Recently, the contact stated that a blank image would appear on the screen while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000. As well as rear camera failure I have the front camera failure. Which is worse cannot see out of the front camera really at all. Looks like a white screen. Safety for others as well as myself are at risk on a daily basis. You cannot see if there's small children or objects in front of your vehicle when you're leaving. Dealership has looked at it. This camera actually started to fail before the rear backup camera. This is a very serious problem and needs to be fixed by Ford immediately a recall needs issued it's a matter of time before someone is killed or a child is killed.

Fuel filter and is available for inspection-Driving back to Cohoes NY from Gloucester Ma pulled into Charlton Ma rest stop to use the restrooms, while getting ready to leave started vehicle and got out waiting for passengers noticed fluids leaking from engine compartment, while inspecting found it was diesel fuel and spraying out of fuel filter on top of engine block. Then noticed a trail of diesel fuel from my path going into rest stop. I parked next to the fuel pumps if that had ignited my life, my passenger and the people in the rest stop life would’ve been endangered. Luckily I caught it before anything happened. I was able to reach a local ford dealer for parts and Uber to and from and repaired. Pouring water over engine to dilute remaining fuel over engine. No warning or engine light came on warning of loss of fuel pressure.

Fuel Filter Failed and Is available for inspection: Driving back from Gloucester Ma to Cohoes NY, pulled into Charlton Ma rest stop on I90 parking in truck area fueling lot noticed fluids leaking from engine compartment, upon further inspection found fuel filter spraying diesel fuel all over engine compartment and components. My life, my passengers and surrounding personnel may have been injured or killed if went un noticed for too long while parking next to fuel pumps when engine was running or driving along I 90. There were no warning lights indicating loss of fuel pressure or any sort of engine light on. Luckily I noticed it before it could get out of hand and happened during a week day during business hours a local ford dealer, IDA Ford in Auburn Ma had a fuel filter kit in stock: They also stated they just had another customer a few days earlier with the same issue. Had to Uber to and from dealer to get parts to repair. Poured water on engine to break down diesel fuel over engine to drive back to NY and not cause a fire. Looking online for a recall and don’t see my year of vehicle but just 2021????

When driving over 50 mph, or while driving on a bumpy surface, the entire truck aggressively shakes until you either slow extremely down or stop. This has occurred appropriately 8-10 times.
