2015 FORD MUSTANG- Moundville, AL
The contact's daughter owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an unknown speed, her seatbelt was unlatched independently. The contact stated that his daughter continuously attempted to fasten the seat belt however, the seat belt locked up and she was no longer able to fasten and latch it securely. The contact stated that he attempted to fasten the seat belt himself and was successful after various attempts; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the driver’s side seat belt mechanism needed to be replaced. The local dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was out of warranty and that the repair would be at his expense. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle in rush hour traffic, the vehicle experienced total brake failure and the brake failure message had displayed. The contact had to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle while in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The contact indicated that the vehicle had been serviced by the local mechanic on multiple occasions for the same failure and the brake master cylinder and brake booster were replaced. The vehicle was also taken to the local dealer who readjusted the brake pads but the failure continued. The contact also indicated that the failure had occurred during very hot temperature days. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 67,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the rear plastic window of the convertible roof had begun to deteriorate around the imbedded defroster wire. The plastic had begun to turn white around the wire and visibility was becoming impaired. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear plastic window needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. There were no warning lights illuminated; however, there was an unknown error message displayed. The contact also stated there was a trunk failure that affected the operation of the camera. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V011000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, while driving with the cruise control activated, the brake pedal was depressed but instead the vehicle accelerated and failed to stop as needed. The contact stated that an excessive amount of pressure was needed to depress the brake pedal while stopping the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure only occurred while the cruise control was activated. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and the mechanic was also able to duplicate the failure. The dealer diagnosed that the cruise control had malfunctioned and caused the brakes to not operate as needed to deactivate the cruise control. The dealer replaced the cruise control switch; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,000.

Heated and cooled seats are not sufficiently grounded, causing burnt wiring beneath passenger seat, overcurrent to blower motor. This issue applies to multiple makes and models using the Ford\Motorcraft wire harness part number WPT-928.
