2017 FORD MUSTANG- Port Saint Lucie, FL
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Mustang. The contact stated when the HVAC system was engaged to clear the windshield due to overnight condensation, the HVAC system failed to operate as designed and the windshield was not cleared. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact also noted that the air conditioning system was inoperable. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the evaporator and compressor needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the front passenger’s side door opened independently. The contact stated the door ajar warning light was illuminated. The contact owns a 2017 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera failed to activate or operate as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the decklid wiring harness was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer informed the contact that there would be a cost for the repair because the recall repair did not include replacing the rearview camera. The manufacturer's repair instructions stated that the dealers would inspect and repair the decklid wiring harness and/or replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had a locksmith examine the vehicle, and the battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred. On another occasion while driving 30 MPH, the back prevention camera display illuminated. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 122,479.

2017 FORD MUSTANG- San Luis Obispo, CA
Ford issued a recall on my car's backup camera system. About at the same time that this recall was issued, my backup camera started failing. Ford recently inspected my vehicle pursuant to the recall, and says that the existing recall only applies to the wiring harness of my vehicle. I'm still stuck with a faulty backup camera because neither the dealership nor Ford corporate will take responsibility for the broken camera.

The driver’s seat will work fine on one side but the other side will not go back and forth. This causes problems while driving as my knees are toward my chest and my ability to break is impaired.
