2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- Brookshire, TX
The coolant control valve failed. This is a known failure point of poor design and on every other truck from 2019-2023 with the duramx LM2/LZ0 engine, they are covered by a special service warranty to 150,000 miles. GM knows this items fails and puts consumers lives at risk when the failure throws the truck into limp mode on the freeway. They refuse to do a recall to avoid doing the right thing. This is deceptive and wrong.

2015 gmc terrain sle awd. Suv was taking in for oil change found excessive rust on frame under all four doors. On both sides rust and holes near the front of both rear wheels. I believe its called the "rocker" I'm unsure. I bought the car at a little over 71,000 miles in 2022-2023 now just getting to 94,000 in February 2026. If there was rust which there probably was the car should have not been sold if the rust was enough to cause problem later on. I may need to go purchase a new car while still owe some money in the car loan. Rust and hole in the rear control arm. The amount to replace and repair all the parts with labor exceeds current value.

At 96,000 miles (3,000 miles after the extended warranty expired), I noticed the "GM tick" more prominent and had more of a metallic sound than it ever did. Upon further investigation, it was found that a collapsed lifter may be the culprit. The truck was brought to the dealer and it was confirmed that the #1 hydraulic lifter had collapsed and needed replacement. This work was approved and tonight, I received a call from Rivard Buick GMC saying that the collapsed lifter also caused significant wear on the camshaft which also now requires replacement. Loss of power on the road poses a significant risk as I carry my children in the vehicle. No warning lamps, messages, or other indicators appeared before or when the issue occurred. The issue was reproduced by the manufacturer/dealer. The dealer Service Manager confirmed that this is extremely common with these trucks with the 6.2L engine and said it was a design flaw due to Dynamic Fuel Management, as well as the oil viscosity recommendation from GM being too low. The year group before and after the 2020 has been recalled along with TSB's issued, however, this group is not part of it. I contacted GM Customer Service (Case [XXX]) and was offered a 10% discount on the repair, being told that this is a "great deal considering the vehicle is out of warranty". GM Customer Service has now resorted to not answering any further questions after several attempts to reach someone. This is also after replacing the 10-speed transmission that was also not part of any recall but that was such an issue that the dealer was only able to source used transmissions rather than new parts. Clearly GM won't make the right decisions to back their products or customers, so NHTSA intervention is necessary. 2019 GMC SIERRA 1500- Buffalo, NY
The contact owns a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that the wheels on the vehicle were not what was listed in the description of the vehicle. The vehicles installed on the vehicle were 17-inch wheels instead of the 18-inch wheels listed as the original equipment for the vehicle. The contact was concerned that the difference between the OEM wheels and the wheels installed on the vehicle could cause ABS failures while driving the vehicle. The contact referenced NHTSA ID Number: 21V985000 (TIRES), but the VIN was not included in the recall. The dealer was not notified of the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 44,741.

Faulty Brake Vacuum Pump!!!! 2018 GMC Terrain @ 119254 miles--- NO warning! Brakes were hard to press, did not work and I rolled into ditch to prevent an accident. I see hundreds of people with same issue now that I Am having to research. This was very scary. I was told it was as a brake booster pressure sensor. But that was not the problem. It is the brake vacuum pump. This is so dangerous. Why is GMC not correcting this issue? This is insane. GM issued multiple technical service bulletins on vacuum and booster issues starting in 2017. Why hasn't anything been done?

2015 GMC SIERRA 1500- Carlsbad, NM
I had and still have the Brake Assist failure warning light on and having issues with brake pedal effort not working as it should to stop vehicle and also the stability control warning lights., the brakes hardly work at all at low speeds and most of the time don't stop the vehicle almost causing several crashes. I took vehicle to gm service center and they said they updated software but when I picked up the vehicle and drove it not long after the brake assist warning came back on and I still had no brakes at slower speeds and the problem had actually gotten worse than it was before i took it to them. I called the dealership and told them that the problem had not been fixed and it was worse they said that I would have to pay the service fee / price for parts if I wanted to bring the vehicle back in and to have problem fixed...I explained it was a re call and it was taken to them to have issue fixed in the first place ...and I was told I would have to pay since they updated software ..I then explained it was worse than when I took it to them and still got denied any kind of resolution to the problem. Nothing was fixed or solved. I still had the warning lights on dash and the problem was worse then when I took the vehicle to them for repair. Not long after the transmission went out and the vehicle hadn't been drove. So it sat for 2 yrs or so. I just got a new one put in and the vehicle still has the same problems with the brake system . I reached out to dealership once again and was told I would still have to pay to have the issues fixed when it was never taken care of by them to begin with.
