Burning an unusual amount of oil. Have seen several instances of blue smoke in the exhaust. Have had to add over a quart of oil twice in less than 6500 miles.

Turbo boost went out in my vehicle and 3 others with the same engine, different makes/models. Vehicles were serviced at Grayling Car Care 4430 M-72, Grayling, MI 49738 (989) 348-3200. Significant power loss, sluggish acceleration, poor fuel economy, and often strange noises (whining, grinding), accompanied by blue smoke from burning oil and a lit check engine light, with the severe risk of catastrophic engine damage from broken parts entering the engine if driven, requiring prompt replacement. It's generally unsafe to drive with a bad turbo, as metal fragments can destroy the engine.

Engine was replaced pursuant to Recall 25V-274. We have driven approximately 4,000 miles since the engine was replaced and all of the oil in the car is “gone”. This match’s with other consumers grouped in investigation RQ26001.

I was driving in the high way and the vehicle started having issues and then it completely shut off and wouldn’t drive or anything in the middle of the highway and the dash said it was reducing power.

Vehicle electrical propulsion system became inoperable creating a hazard to occupants in a temperature control required climate Vehicles visual control showing speed and all other information went completely black while vehicle was in motion.

1) I just purchased the vehicle in Oct 2026 & 3 days after purchase, it broke down in Walmart parking lot due to, all the antifreeze pouring out. 2) December 2026 had to replace the front tires as they were stripped to the threads from rubbing against the fender wells. 3) January 2026 Wouldn’t start, wouldn’t turn over or anything. Had the ignition replaced. Ran fine for one week. 4) Currently won’t start. Broke down.

Two weeks ago I heard a faint ticking sound. I had a professional look at it and they said that I had a cylinder sticking and to add an additive the next oil change. I still had 1,500 miles until then and so I did not do that. That noise stopped a day later. Last Friday, it started to tick again, and then it got very loud. I live rurally and was 45 minutes from home. The engine went from ticking to full clunking and very low power in just a moment. I luckily found a small engine shop to check the codes, but as I was parked there, the car would not go in reverse! He had to clear the codes to get it to go into reverse. I had to then slowly drive 45 minutes back to our small town. I drove to and immediately parked it at our local repair shop. It can not be driven now. The lights that came on were the Rear axle system off, forward collision system, service traction control, engine light flashing, and service ESC light. Not to forget that it would not go into reverse. Also the suspension system seemed to malfunction and not lift or lower the car.It seemed to clunk and try, but nothing happened. The whole car basically went down. I see there is a recall for this year or car, but my VIN is not included. I am hoping that it will be included as the repair shop is telling me it will be close to $10,000.

Heated steering wheel reaches temps of 137 - 143 degrees. Should have the ability for the owner to select a lower temperature setting the same as the heated seats.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving uphill, the vehicle unexpectedly lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the engine block had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to shift into gear properly and jerked abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was returned to the dealer and was diagnosed with transmission failure, requiring the PCM/TCM to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel injector and coolant pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.

I had the 25v-274 recall serviced at my GM Dealer and was never provide with any paperwork on the extended warranty that was part of the recall. as you can image, not having anything in writing is a big risk as these engines have been catastrophically failing. GM was supposed to provide a extended warranty and service manual update.
