My car will not park. I get a shift to park error message. I tried restarting and shutting it off. Didn't work. I ended up putting it in neutral turning on the emergency brake and then shutting the car off. I have had no problems with this car to this point, I am a single car owner and my car must be reliable. I can't spend a half hour trying to get the car to shut off.

I was traveling along i80 and suddenly the vehicle shutdown. I put the transmission in Neutral and coasted to a stop. Once stopped, I check It would not start or even turnover at that point. I still had all electrical services and such. The vehicle. I was stranded on i80. Then had to be towed to the nearest GM Dealer in Evanston Wyoming. Heritage Chevrolet GMC. It was left there for diagnosis where their technician, several days later diagnosed it with a bad engine. There was no warning or check engine light that appeared. I even have a picture from a little while earlier while driving earlier that morning. It took it because I was surprised it was getting 28mpg in v8 mode. but I am glad I had that photo to show no diagnostic lights were on.

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, he observed a burning odor in the cabin of the vehicle, and the steering wheel became stiff, requiring significant effort to steer the vehicle. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted on several occasions. However, over time, the failure reoccurred more frequently. The contact stated that after the failure had occurred, the messages "Service Power Steering” and “Stabili-trak" were displayed. The contact was almost involved in two crashes due to the failure. The contact then received notice of an unknown recall, and the vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the dealer acknowledged the recall repair. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the cover to a power sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred two months later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

    - Columbia, MD

I was driving and a message popped up "Service Traction Control", then another message popped up "Forward Collision System Unavailable". Then the car started making this knocking sound and every time I would try and accelerate there would be a loud sound and almost a pulling stopping it from picking up much speed. I took the car into the dealer/repair shop and they said it was an issue with the lifters that had to be replaced and potentially an issue with the cam. They said this repair would cost upwards of $6,000 and I have never had this issue with the car before. This came out of nowhere and the car had not been showing any signs of this occurring before. This is a 2021 GMC Yukon and I drive my Wife and three sons in that car daily.

Tire size is P235/65R18 I purchased these tires in December of 2024. I am concerned that these tires were built without the correct compound to be qualified as an all-season. I have never had tires this bad in snow, even though they are all season brand-new tires with full tread. I immediately bought a set of snow tires for the vehicle. I again tried these tires in snow in November of 2025 after they had roughly 10,000 miles on them, and again found them to be the worst tires in snow that I have ever driven. I am concerned these were a mis-build.

Within the first few thousand miles, the truck intermittently had warnings appear of “reduced acceleration, drive with care”. The truck would limit its ability to maintain speed. When it occurred during highway driving, it was particularly dangerous. The check engine light would also come on. After parking the vehicle for a bit and restarting it, things returned to normal. At the dealership, we reported the issue and leaned the computer reveled a P06DD code which required them to check the crankshaft for excessive play. Our truck was out of specification requiring complete engine replacement at just 6,755 miles. “Service Bulletin 25-NA-307 which states this code may set due to thrust bearing failure. following 25-NA-307 checked crankshaft end play and got a reading of 0.3400 in. the maximum spec is 0.0124 in.“ GM and Laura Buick GMC should not have sold this truck to us without inspecting it for this known issue.
