Approximately 2 months after purchase, the sunroof spontaneously shattered/exploded while driving on the interstate. We had it fixed and about 3 months after that, the same exact thing happened.

My 2023 GMC Acadia experienced a complete electrical system failure while driving on an interstate highway. During the incident, the vehicle lost all electrical power, including hazard lights and steering assistance, and could not be shifted into neutral. The vehicle became immobile in active traffic and required police-ordered towing due to safety risk. This incident was the second alternator failure within six months. The second failure involved a GM-installed replacement alternator that failed prematurely. Both incidents required towing, and the second created a significant roadway safety hazard.

Onstar telecommunications module failed within 5 months of ownership. GPS and in car navigation goes crazy showing incorrect position which is distracting on the infotainmet screen. Been almost 4 weeks with no estimate of part availability from GM.

The main tailgate will not go down or function properly and it says online there is a national recall for this, but does not come up when I search my vehicle. When I turn on my left turn signal the brights flash for no reason and this is a known major issue with the vehicles as well. The trucks computer is telling me low on coolant even though it is not that has already been fixed through a 3rd pARTY WARRANTY Parking brake was stuck on when I bought the vehicle and had been for a long time you could tell and I had to pay over $1100 to fix it at GM. The Ford collision system does not work properly and the cameras will come on at certain times when they're not supposed to be and not come on when they are supposed to be

The warning light for a steering assist needs service came on the dash. The dealer had a code (po128) that pertained to a bad thermostat and coolant temp. sensor. The steering assist could have failed, along with possible engine damage. The dealer replaced the thermostat and the coolant temp sensor. Their were no police or insurance reports needed.

For a year we have had to check to the oil weekly and add oil due to the vehicle burning oil so quickly. The past month we have had to check it daily and add oil. We do regular routine oil changes and have had to get them before the next one is due. Recently when driving the “oil pressure low stop engine” light has been coming on almost daily. The oil change company has reported to us that it is due to the 2.4 Eco tech motor. You can smell the oil burning through the vents inside the car.

The contact owns a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle lost automotive power with the check engine warning light illuminated and the message "Vehicle Might Lose Power" displayed. The vehicle remained at the residence, and the contact used a self-diagnostic tool to retrieve a fault code related to the coolant valve D. The contact determined that the coolant valve D needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the contact was unaware of the part that needed to be fixed in the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The contact researched and was made aware of an unknown NHTSA Campaign Number; however, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

No specific incident. High pitch rattling in ceiling. Does not seem to be coming from the sunroof but the middle light fixture.

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to coast to the highway divider and stop the vehicle. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had suffered a catastrophic failure and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact informed the dealer of the issue and was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,504.

Vehicle has an ongoing water leak, has been to the dealer twice so far. Both times said it was fixed.
