2024 GMC SIERRA 1500- Las Vegas, NV
The recall you are showing was completed 300 miles ago. There were no outstanding recalls on my vehicle on November 23, 2025. On this day I was driving home, at night and I heard a loud flapping sound coming from the front of my vehicle. I pulled over and checked the front and wheel wells, nothing was stuck. I got back in and started driving the flapping sound was coming as I pressed the gas, when coasting with no gas, there was no flapping sound. I managed to make it home and GM towed my truck the next day. The shop has informed me that the engine is gone. Even though I did the recall 300 miles ago, it was directly what they were looking for in the recall and did not find it. This clearly put me in danger.

2021 GMC YUKON XL- Minturn, CO
Vehicle indicated that the suspension system was disabled. Vehicle then lost power and disabled itself driving through the Eisenhower Tunnel I-70 Colorado. This tunnel is over a mile and a half long. We called 911 as we were very worried we were going to have another vehicle crash into us as there are no breakdown lanes. The tunnel had to close to West Bound Interstate traffic and the vehicle had to be dragged up a tow truck because the back wheels were locked. The CDOT tow truck then dropped our vehicle outside the tunnel. We had a private tow company (again dragging the locked tires onto the next truck) take us home and to our personal repair shop. Vehicle was diagnosed as a blown engine. We then had to tow our vehicle, again dragging tires, to a GMC certified shop. We have spent $1502 on towing. This vehicle has approximately 57,000 miles and was 9 days out of the powertrain warranty. The repair shop has the same diagnoses and a dead battery because we could not turn the vehicle off. We have no vehicle to drive as ours sits at the repair shop waiting for parts. GM told me we were out of warranty and would not help. The dealership says GM may do cost sharing but will still cost us $2000.

2024 GMC YUKON XL- Lewisville, NC
Vehicle was operating on the interstate with cruise control activated. Time was approximately 9:15pm. Weather was fair with temperatures in the lower 60's. Speed was approximately 73mph. Without any audible or warning light notifications the engine stalled and all exterior lighting, power assisted braking and steering was lost. The emergency flashers were immediately activated to warn vehicles in nearby proximity of our emergency status. I tried to restart the engine(the transmission was showing to be in N)with no success. During the attempt to restart, the exterior lighting was restored. With the path of travel now visible, I was able to slow the vehicle to a safe speed and exit from the roadway onto the shoulder. Upon stopping, the vehicle was placed into P and OnStar was notified of the event. We remained in the vehicle until one of our friends was able to take us home. Onstar contacted AAA to remove the vehicle to the nearest GM dealership.

2018 GMC YUKON XL- Murfreesboro, TN
The vehicle is experiencing symptoms consistent with the brake vacuum pump failure described in GM Special Coverage Adjustment N182202780, which applies to full-size GM SUVs in this model range. The symptoms include a hard brake pedal upon startup, reduced brake assist, increased stopping distance, and audible vacuum or mechanical cycling noise when the vehicle powers on. This malfunction affects the vehicle’s braking performance and requires significantly increased pedal force, especially during initial operation or low-speed braking. This results in delayed braking response and reduced stopping capability, creating a safety hazard to occupants and others on the roadway. Although the symptoms match the defect described in the bulletin and the vehicle is within the published 10-year/150,000-mile coverage parameters, multiple authorized dealerships and GM corporate have refused to perform a diagnostic or repair because the VIN does not appear in their internal eligibility system. GM Customer Care case number 82474826 documents these interactions. No diagnostic evaluation has occurred because the manufacturer and dealers declined to perform one unless the VIN is pre-flagged, regardless of symptoms. No warning lights or dashboard alerts accompanied the failure. The condition began gradually and has become more noticeable over time. I am concerned that other vehicles experiencing the same defect may also be excluded from inspection or repair due to VIN list limitations, despite meeting the published program criteria.

2025 GMC CANYON- East Syracuse, NY
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, my vehicle, which had only 2,004 miles on the odometer, experienced a catastrophic failure of its braking system. The warning lights illuminated, and I received a diagnostic alert text message from OnStar stating that the driver’s side rear tire needed air. Subsequently, the dashboard displayed a brake failure warning, advising me to proceed with caution as the braking system was inoperative. I drove the vehicle home and then took it to a nearby Buick GMC dealership for repairs. I dropped the keys into the overnight box and returned to the dealership the next morning. I was informed that a technician would contact me. On Wednesday, November 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM, I received a call informing me that the braking system was indeed malfunctioning. The technician mentioned that it would take approximately 48 hours to obtain the necessary parts; however, there was a supply chain issue that could delay repairs for potentially 30 days or longer. The vehicle was purchased on April 18, 2025, and had only 2,004 miles on it at the time of the incident.
