2019 GMC SIERRA 1500- Strawberry Plains, TN
2019 GMC Sierra that was not on recall list for engine, had same exact issue as the recalled engines. We were driving, light came on and it wouldnt work properly. We immediately took it for diagnoses and it was same reason as the recalls, however our engine wasnt on the list. We just had to pay 14K cash for our truck engine and repair. We purchased 5/24 with 78K miles and it stopped at 94K miles. We didnt have the truck for 5 months because of the motor recalls were backed up. GMC refusing to reimburse us even tho there is still issues with that motor

2019 GMC SIERRA 1500- Uniontown, PA
While driving in my uncongested neighborhood, my brakes totally failed. Dash indicated multiple brake failure warnings. I managed to get my truck stopped and returned home by engaging my low range, four wheel drive. If I had been in on the open road, going down a hill, negotiating a curve, or in traffic a crash would have ocurred, potentially fatality. My vehicle was towed to a GMC dealership. They diagnosed the problem in the electronic braking module with a software update needed. My vehicle Is a 2019, but had only 23,283 miles at the time of the braking failure.

2016 GMC YUKON XL- Golden, CO
While driving vehicle the vehicle appears to shut off as if someone is turning off the ignition. The steering control becomes stiff, power is lost and electronics flash and turn off and on. This has happened on multiple occasions and is intermittent during acceleration. The accessible grounds have been checked, battery checked and replaced, and alternator checked and verified to be charging appropriately. Several codes are present and have been cleared to return indicating low voltage issues with multiple systems.

2019 GMC SIERRA 1500- Cotton Valley, LA
The starter started dragging about a year ago and on November 12 the 2019 GMC truck would not start. We had it towed to Harper GMC in Minden, La. They told us the motor was locked up. This vehicle has a little over 40,000 miles on it. Has always been parked in a carport out of the weather and still looks brand new. I see where 2021 GMC trucks have a recall on the motor and this is the same problem with our 2019.

2023 GMC YUKON XL- Brighton, MI
The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the message "You Have no Brakes - Do Not Drive Over 40 MPH" was displayed. The contact allowed the vehicle to roll to a stop. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, but the failure persisted. The contact parked the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had not caused an accident because the contact was driving early in the morning and there was less traffic on the road. The contact stated that her husband started the vehicle later in the day, and the warning lights were off. The vehicle was driven to the dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and informed the contact that several DTCs were retrieved, including a DTC for brake failure; however, the flow chart from the manufacturer instructed to first replace the battery and then reset the codes. The dealer replaced the battery, reset the codes and test-drove the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired and returned to the contact. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and supported the dealer's assessment. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

2023 GMC YUKON- Williamstown, NY
8/26/2025 I purchased the vehicle from Maguire in Syracuse, NY with open recalls. It is my understanding a dealership is required to have these fixed prior to selling a vehicle. I now have to drive 45 mins each way to get them fixed and miss additional 2 hours for wait time from work. Brakes could fail causing an accident.

2021 GMC SIERRA 1500- Pembroke Pines, FL
I am an active U.S. Air Force member. My 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 failed GM Recall N252494003 on Sept 29, 2025 (L87 engine loss of propulsion). GM states this defect can cause sudden engine failure and loss of propulsion, increasing crash risk. Despite the confirmed failure, Ocean Cadillac (Miami, FL) told me to keep driving the unsafe vehicle and refused all Courtesy Transportation. The Service Manager admitted in writing that the engine failed, the defect can cause loss of propulsion, and the replacement engine is delayed under GM National Control for up to 3 months — yet they still denied me a loaner or rental. His statements contradict the GM documents he attached: • GM Bulletin DCS7222 says Courtesy Transportation CAN be provided during L87 recall downtime and dealers MUST consider loaners/rentals. • GM FAQ N252494002 says Courtesy Transportation IS available for this recall. • GM FAQ lists recall symptoms (check engine light, hesitation, high RPM, reduced power) — NOT battery drain. • GM states: “If the engine fails, the vehicle WILL lose propulsion.” Ocean Cadillac ignored these rules and put me back on the road in a known unsafe vehicle. As an American manufacturer, GM has a responsibility to protect American drivers. Their failure to follow recall procedures placed me, my family, and other motorists at risk. I request NHTSA investigate whether GM/Ocean Cadillac are complying with recall safety requirements and whether customers are being told to drive unsafe vehicles after confirmed failures.
