1. The vehicle’s emissions system is malfunctioning, specifically the ECM (Engine Control Module) related to the exhaust emissions system. The diagnostic trouble code is P2C7A, indicating the system is not performing as expected. Key components such as the NOx catalytic converters and diesel particulate filter have been repeatedly replaced, but the issue persists. The vehicle and all replaced components are available for inspection upon request. 2. The malfunctioning emissions system has led to an exhaust leak that allowed exhaust gases to enter the vehicle’s cab. This creates a hazardous environment for both the driver and passengers, exposing them to harmful exhaust fumes. In addition to reduced engine performance, poorer fuel economy, and emissions non-compliance, this exhaust leak poses a serious safety risk by compromising the air quality inside the vehicle. Prolonged operation under these conditions could lead to adverse health effects and further mechanical failures that impact vehicle safety. 3. Yes. The dealership has diagnosed the problem multiple times. The emissions components have been replaced under warranty on two separate occasions. The dealer attributed the fault to fuel quality; however, Fuel distributor debunked these claims. 4. The vehicle has been inspected extensively by the dealership with invoiced repair work replacing key emissions control components. 5. The check engine light and Service Engine Soon (SES) light have been illuminated with the diagnostic code P2C7A since the initial identification of the problem which started 3JUN24

Four of the eight oil lifters in my 6.2L engine in my 2019 GMC Yukon failed. The car has around 53,000 miles. The issue was confirmed by an independent service center. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the issue. Zero. The service center even ran diagnostics with no result and could not confirm the issue until after it partially took apart the engine. I noticed a noise similar to a card flapping in the wind and took it to the service center that same day. The car had been properly serviced with oil changes and still had 44% oil life that same day. Repairs are currently being made and estimated at $4,000.

I was driving down 85 South bound at mile marker 16 the engine started messing up causing me and my family to be pushed over to the median. Once I was able to fight it over to the median it started smoking and i was afraid it was going to catch fire, so me and my family had to get out on the side of the interstate until help showed up and said it was safe to get back into the car. I had to use OnStar to get a tow truck, after the tow truck got there and i made it to the closest dealership to find out that the so called recall that the GM dealership fixed did not help the fact that the engine was messed up. So i tried to get a loaner or rental car for my family of 6 and they rented me a small SUV that I can not get all my kids into, I was told they did not have anything that bigger so now I am having to make multiple trips getting my kids to school. Plus they are saying it is going to be months before I can get my car back because the engine is on back order.

The brake controller on trucks error out while towing. Shuts brakes off. Not a good thing towing 16,000lbs down hill. Almost accident. Destroyed my truck brakes and warped rotors. The controller checks the house battery on trailer and if not in range shuts brakes off. The brake towing screen in truck states all is good but there is this tiny little light at gain adjust location that goes off and you do not have brakes but yet your screen states you do. Bad deal.

The contact owns a 2020 GMC Acadia. While the vehicle was at the dealer for maintenance, the contact was informed that the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact was advised that there was coolant intrusion. The contact stated that it was not specified if the coolant intrusion had gone into the engine. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact was informed that the fueling system needed cleaning service, as well as the brake fluid and transmission fluid needed to be serviced. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics, and no leaks were found with the radiator. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. The VIN was not available.

Engine ticking especially when cold, dealership claims they fixed it while it was under warranty but it has continued to do it.

The contact owns a 2021 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over prevention screen image was solid blue, and there was no image displayed, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and it was determined that the rearview camera coaxial cable connectors were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V709000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 46,000.

The power steering assembly failed and caught on fire. This then caused the engine to malfunction and no longer work. This happened while driving on the interstate at a speed of approximately 80mph. No prior check engine lights were visible

I got 3200 miles on my 2025 gmc 1500 6.2 engine. The engine crash. Knocking. Skund like its going to jump out. Been at dealer in columbus. Since Thursday. No one touch it

Telematics module failed directly after update, vehicle is outside of warranty (by mileage) but only 3 years old. no GPS, Onstar, and several other features that rely on this system to operate. several dealers would not even look at it when calling for appointment, one dealer stated that the part was on back order for up to 2 years and did not want to waste the time to look at it. Upon research, this appears to be a very common problem on all GM models with similar outcome
