  • 2021 GMC SIERRA 1500
    - Winchester , VA

    Constant engine issues, cams, lifters. Transmission problems. These engines in these vehicles need to be RECALLED. I have bought 6 of these trucks and all of them have the same issues. SPENDING 14k on new engines one after another is ridiculous. These are classified as “work” trucks and can’t handle “working”

  • 2021 GMC YUKON XL
    - Denver, CO

    The contact owns a 2021 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving 6 MPH, the vehicle experienced a complete loss of automotive power and all electrical components shut off, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the engine had failed and needed to be towed to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed a second time, and the contact was advised that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) as a possible cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000.

    Vehicle stalling at low speeds Oil pressure solenoid stuck fault and P0011 camshaft fault.

    The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

  • 2021 GMC YUKON

    Premature failure of the telematics module resulting in inability to access emergency services and other safety-related features. Dealer confirmed the components failures are widespread. Check engine light came on as a result as well as inoperable navigation features that rely on the module connectivity.

  • 2023 GMC SIERRA 1500
    - Belleville, IL

    The contact owns a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V27400 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and initially confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact received notification that the parts for the recall repair were available. Upon arrival to the dealer, the contact was informed that the recall repair would be an oil change with thicker, higher viscosity oil. The contact expressed concerns that the failure might occur because the engine was not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

  • 2017 GMC YUKON
    - Englewood, FL

    The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon. The contact noticed that the chrome on the rims of the vehicle was oxidized. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the rims. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
