On my 2020 GMC terrain the vacuum pump failed and caused my braking system to go out completely. I had to almost stand up on the brakes to get the car to stop and thankfully I got it come to a stop before smashing into another car. I contacted gmc and while they know this is a ongoing problem and there is a warranty out for this particular problem (150,000 miles or 10 year warranty) I was told it is part/ factory specific and that if it was manufactured in certain facilities or had certain parts that they would cover the cost to fix it but however my vehicle was not covered. This poses a dangerous problem for GMC owners. As soon as the check engine light came on I had absolutely no control over the brakes and it was a miracle it stopped. There was no warning prior to this incident and upon looking up information this seems to be a recurrent problem that GMC needs to address seeing as they say they value their customers.

Driving today and car started rattling and pouring transmission fluid on the way home today. Barely made it home.

Hello,I would like to file a complaint for General Motors for untimely recall remedy and failure to fix recall it’s been 6 months since the recall and there’s no remedy no estimate on it and no update from dealer or GM .My vehicle turned on the check engine and transmission on the app (In car said check 4x4) the turned off the next day why is that is it going bad ? The paint is peeling the exterior plastic is fading white ,bumper in not aligned the front door frames are not aligned and plastic near auto steps ,and are loose the marker lights are getting bugs in and the turn signal stalk is cracking and the vehicle is also rusting this is very unacceptable and you need to take action against GM and make them give updates and immediately issue the remedy if not I need a buy back . VIN -1GKS2JKL0RR162207 TX also the vehicle value went down 30,000 it’s worth 70,000 I bought it for 100,000 what will be the resolution on this will I get it back what is GM doing to fix that yall need to take action or your issue buy backs brand new 25 Yukon or 30,000 towards next car

The contact owned a 2021 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the “Service Safety Restraint Device” warning light illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and the contact was informed that the air bag was not repaired correctly because there was electrical tape and packing foam inside the air bag housing. The air bag was replaced and the front driver seat belt was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the engine oil was changed several times, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the serial gateway module, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to a transmission specialist, who determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the transmission was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

Infotainment system audio not working. Have performed hard reset, dealer reset, dealer service, and still audio is intermintant at best. more than 75% of the time I have no audio or sound at all. No raidio, no sxm, no bluetooth, no onstar. This is a safety issue and there does not appear to be a repair bulletin, and dealships dont know what to do.

Vehicle will shutter or buck at variable speeds like, 35-38 mph, 40-45 mph and so on. if I take my foot of the gas and reapply it will shutter buck again at almost any speed. I took it to a mechanic and there are no codes, no check engine light. Shop recommended changing the transmission fluid so we did. Car still responds the same way, shutters and bucks when reapplying fuel pedal or slow acceleration.

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle and shifting to park(P), the message "Shift to Park(P)" was erroneously displayed, and the vehicle could not be turned off. After several attempts, the contact was able to turn off the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the shifter cable bushing was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

My car is having the same issue as many other 2024 GMC Sierra owners. Reverse gear is not working. It is due to the transmission valve body being faulty. Why GMC has not send a recall notice yet. Are they waiting for someone die in a car accident in a highway, it looks like it affects other gears too. a quick list [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] my car is only 10000 miles. Constant engine issues. Cams, lifters, now needs new motor. Motor apparently unavailable.
