GMC Complaints

I am the owner of a 2024 GMC Yukon (VIN: [XXX] ), purchased from Hatchett Buick GMC on [XXX]. This vehicle was purchased at a high price with the expectation that it would provide reliability and keep my family safe. Unfortunately, that is clearly not happening. The Yukon continues to suffer from severe power loss that neither the dealership nor GM technicians have been able to diagnose or repair. In addition, this vehicle is subject to an unresolved engine recall, further undermining safety and confidence in the vehicle. Multiple times while driving I have had total power loss with no warning or indicators of this happening through lights or warnings on the vehicle. This is separate from the engine recall issues I am currently experiencing as well. While driving the Yukon will lose all electrical power. First problem was when the ac went out which affected the starter 2 weeks after that while I was driving something popped underneath the vehicle the vehicle completely stopped working when I checked underneath the vehicle there was leak ish a broken crankshaft car would not turn back on….

To All Concerned, I scheduled my vehicle for routine maintenance, but more importantly, I scheduled my check engine light indicator logo to be activated. Following the maintenance and testing of my engine, the dealership informed me that my vehicle passed. For that matter, they put me right back on the road for the check engine light to come on the following morning, and it's still on and off as it pleases. During these very dangerous and extreme manmade and natural disasters GMC seems to think I will have peace of mind because they added an additional 5000 miles to the warranty. What good is that gonna do when for: 1. We arent safe… every scenario you can imagine. 2. Can't travel anywhere in confidence in my vehicle, because they hope I don't breakdown. 3. They gamble with my and other safe driver lives trying to save money. Our vehicles are two-ton vessels capable of creating all kinds of mess. 4. I bet if I don't pay GMC coming for their property so expect the same in return. 5. You can't make this right because my vehicle just tg the dealership two days ago. Please get to the bottom of this a save me the time, aggregation, and hassle of someone trying to convince me I'm fine… well Im not. I believe the steering gear torque sensor cover assembly is causing my power steering to intermittently stop working I read the report for the 2015 model year and my truck is doing the exact same thing truck was produced in 10/15 but is not part of the recall after further searching online I’ve found other people owning the 2016 model year that has the same issue I believe the recall needs to be moved to cover the 2016 model year as well

The contact owns a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission experienced rough gear shifts. Additionally, the vehicle shuddered while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was unable to diagnose the vehicle due to a lack of diagnostic equipment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Same issue as the 2021-2024 model. I was driving home from work , it lost all power mid turn , traction control , ABS & engine light are on. It’s now ticking and knocking Here’s a list from the shop on what’s wrong with it. Vehicle is being remotely hacked and placed into regen Parts have been swapped and truck has been tampered with and continues to be tampered with

No traffic collision. Preemptive report. Headrest positioned so far forward that head is forced into a downward position. Unable to comfortably maintain eye contact with the road in this position (photo attached). Only remedy is to have headrest positioned so far down that it would cause decapitation in a collision. I was not aware of the decapitation risk when purchasing the vehicle. GM initially stated the dealership should have remedies in the form of alternate parts to be installed at the dealership. Dealership stated that is not the case and they do not have any resolution available.

The door handle broke off on the driver side the passenger side door handle will not open the door the outside handles are loose and the rear back driver and passenger side will not open their doors.

When I’m in reverse the up the cameras turn off. On one incident I was backing up and the camera turned off causing me to back up into the wall of my house
