GMC Complaints

The coolant control valve on my truck is causing issues. From doing research, this is an ongoing issue with the 3.0 duramax. The part is on nationwide backorder and I cannot drive my vehicle in reduced engine power because the only way I can get to work is by taking the interstate. It is madness that GM has not issued a recall or done anything to rectify this issue. Many GMC owners are paying on vehicles that they are unable to drive which is assanine. This part needs to be readily available due to the NUMEROUS complaints that have already been submitted in regards to this part.

Catastrophic transmission failure. Original transmission failed at 113,00 miles. I replaced it at the dealership with a factory rebuilt transmission and that transmission failed after only 40,000 miles. Now the vehicle is back in the dealership shop and they want me to replace the transmission a third time. This transmission is the 6L80 which is prone to fail, the torque converter fails and the transmission locks up I contacted General Motors and filed a complaint with them and they said they would not take any action or assist me with the repair.

Cannot shift out of park. AC stops blowing also. Electric seats stopped working. Replaced BCM modular, solenoid , entire shifter and more. It worked for two months. -Happening again. Cannot shift out of park and the AC stops working. Seat are working at moment. It’s all intermittent. Currently dealer will not help me. No warranty anymore. Im on a site where thousands of gmc’s have this same problem. Im gonna have to bring back to another dealer but no one can figure it out how to fix this. I sent my last bill. I also had one before that with the shifter assembly and solenoid replaced. I cannot find at moment

Fuel indicator bounces from Empty to full in the matter of seconds while going down the road. Also, issues with mileage range reported as the fuel indicator is fluctuating.

The tire Goodyear LT275/65R20 are the original tires on the truck when purchased. The tires have been rotated and balanced at the dealership routinely, approximately 42,000 miles on the set. On [XXX], I was travelling [XXX] here in NC when I felt a bump as if I had hit something in the road. I pulled off to the shoulder to inspect for damage or a flat tire. The left rear tire had completely lost its tread, only the steel belts were showing. Thus caused significant damage to the fender and tailgate of the truck. The tire remained inflated. Another driver pulled over in front of me and stated that the separated part had damaged his car. The NC State patrol was called and a report made for insurance. No one was injured to my knowledge. I changed the tire and was able to complete my trip. This could have caused a serious problem with a very serious accident. Fortunately, no one was injured. There were no warning that this might happen. I have sent pictures of the damage to my truck to the insurance company. This makes me very uneasy about these tires, I may need to purchase an entirely new set of tires from another manufacturer. I am not sure Goodyear is a decent brand of tire. The car's gas gauge and fuel range indicator are problematic. The fuel gauge quickly drops from a higher reading, like 3/4 full, to empty. After this, the gauge and the fuel range both fluctuate while driving, making it impossible to determine the fuel level.

I was stopped at a traffic light and was informed by another driver that my right tail lamp was not working. There were no warning lights indicating that there was a problem. When I arrived home, it began working after I tapped on it. A few days later, the left tail lamp stopped working. I began to realize that both tail lamps were only working intermittently. Upon inspection by the mechanic, I was informed that this is a common problem with my vehicle and that each replacement part is approximately $900, totaling nearly $2,000 to replace both lamps. This is an obvious safety hazard for myself and for others who may not be able to judge when I am stopping, especially if I have to stop suddenly.

While turning steering wheel got hard and cut my turning radius causing almost to go out of the road

Driving on the highway under normal driving condition, my check engine light came on and said service transmission. This then put the truck into "limp mode" and I was stuck going 60mph in a 75mph zone. Dealership scanned and found that the coolant sensor control flow valve is faulty. This part is in such demand for these vehicles that it is unknown when the part will be in.

Driving out of state. My 2021 Acadia with 41,172 miles. When pushing the gas to go there is slippage when trying to accelerate. MY car went automatically into neutral saying transmission and then not start. After a rest period it would start then repeat the same issue. In bumper to bumper traffic on I75. The most Terrifying & UNSAFE place to be at 75 to 80 mph. We happened to be driving up on construction and slow down traffic. When the car stalled. Towed it to a transmission place because of code. They replaced the DTR1 PCM.
