My engine and all electrical components including power steering and power brakes and all dashboard electrical will fail while driving. It is becoming more frequent and has almost caused an accident on numerous occasions to the point of not being able to drive safely on the highway any longer so now I only stay on surface streets and can't use for any out of town work. I usually do all of my own vehicle maintenance not been able to diagnose the culprit. Unfortunately I'm not able to afford the dealership diagnostic prices but open to any type of inspection.

    1) Complete Engine Failure. Vehicle is no longer is in possession for inspection but pictures and video can be provided. 2) My Truck stalled at 70 MPH going down the interstate. I was lucky to be driving in the right lane to glide to a complete stop. This could have been way worse, not just for myself but for others. 3) Shortly after the loss of propulsion on the interstate. The engine started knocking very loud and I brought it into Boucher GMC of Brookfield. After about a week, the conclusion was I needed a new Engine. The Bearings, camshaft, rods and other components within the engine were damaged. The dealership said it was because of Bad Oil. 4) Parts were inspected and Dealership provided pictures. Not sure what they did with the junk parts. 5) I initially brought in the vehicle where it was purchased at Kunes of Stoughton WI for a Check engine light that read a P06DD error code at 56472 miles on the truck. They performed a software update and sent me on way. Since then, I was dealing with a on and off engine light which eventually brought me to a engine replacement at about 70,000 miles. None of this was covered under warranty and I had to pay for all of this out of pocket. In the events of all this. GMC had my truck for about 3 months. I had to purchase another vehicle because it was cheaper then renting one, GMC didn't have a loaner I could use. I could not perform my everyday work tasks besides getting to and from work, because I did not have a truck to carry my everyday work tools. Now understanding the full impact of this faulty engine and that I could have done harm to others or my self, has me worried about driving a GM vehicle. After I received the new engine, approximately 2000 miles later, The new engine, not rebuilt started making a knocking noise, only to find out, it was the same issue after bringing it to the dealership. No engine lights or nothing. People should be scared to drive a vehicle with the L87 engine from GM.

On December 12th heading to Bozeman at 88 MPH on I-90, truck completely died at high speed. We were going to have it towed to Billion in Bozeman because this was the cheapest route. We then got notice from your dealership that we had to tow it to Billings because Billings dealership never transferred the paperwork from Canada. $825.00 later we dropped the car per towing at Billings dealership. Monday, went to dealership and there was no word as to when his truck could get fixed. I was told by GMC that we would be reimbursed for the towing expense and since you did not have a loaner vehicle the 2 options GMC provided were to rent or car, reimbursed or GMC would cover our loan payment until the truck was fixed. Every week called dealership for an update and there was no update. I ended up calling Menholt-Chevy because I wanted to know what the average wait time was for this sort of problem. He said they had engines but it would be the same engine installed and if the warranty was through GMC, GMC would have to do the work. We were hesitant to even drive with this same engine again and possibly having the same situation happen again. Menholt suggested we trade the vehicle. They came up with a trade deal through his dealership on February 10th. February 12th AJ with Menholt had the vehicle towed to their dealership, exactly 2 months later. Ali, from GMC emailed April 2 stating they can no longer re-imburse us because we did not accept any incentives that were offered through GMC and that they tried to work with us and we did not accept any of their offers. XXXX and I were never offered anything, Period. We asked dealership for proof of offers and they could not provide any. I have never been re-imbursed and have been ignored from that point forward. The dealership has misinformed GMC and GMC and the dealership misled us. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The 6.2 liter engine spun the #1 and #3 crankshaft bearings. This was confirmed by the selling dealership, Guess Motors, who performed the engine teardown. This complete engine failure was not foretold by any warnings whatsoever. I was able to drive vehicle to the dealership before it stopped running. The dealership has ordered a replacement entire engine from GM however no delivery date has been received and this occurred on 04-04-2025. On 04-24-2025 GM issued recall # N252494001 on this engine configuration.
