While driving a few days ago, power steering abruptly stopped working and a service power steering message appeared. It was very difficult to steer the vehicle back home. I've tried replacing the battery and resetting the steering sensor to no avail.

While driving at highway speed, the left rear OEM Goodyear Wrangler 275/65R20 tire experienced a sudden tread separation and catastrophic failure. The tire pressure was correct, there were no TPMS warnings or other vehicle alerts, and the vehicle did not strike any road debris or other object prior to the failure. The truck was purchased new in December 2022 and has approximately 14,500 miles. The tread separation caused extensive damage to the truck, including the bedside, bumper, taillight, wheel opening trim, and other components. The body shop repairing the vehicle advised that they have seen numerous similar failures, and I have also found multiple reports from other owners of the same OEM Goodyear Wrangler 275/65R20 tires experiencing tread separations. I am reporting this incident due to concerns about a potential defect in these tires.

The grill deflector flew off while driving on the highway. I was driving roughly 55 mph. It is available now, but will be getting repaired in the near future. My concern is that it appears that this was an issue with the 2022 models and it’s still an issue on the 2023. The safety issue is if there was a vehicle or motorcycle behind me that it could have harmed whoever could have been driving behind me, caused and accident, or damaged their vehicle or mine in the process. The service advisor (J.R.) told me that “sometimes the wind gets underneath the bezel and makes it snap”. No it has not been inspected by any of this mentioned. No warning signs prior to the incident.

The front grille bezel mounting clips broke and it started to fly off while driving on the highway. Luckily, I was able to pull over before the last clip broke and took it off before it became a spear flying at the cars behind me. There is an active recall for this issue for the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 models, but not 2023/2024 models (same body I believe).

The contact owns a 2025 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while the vehicle was shifted into reverse, the rear-view camera displayed a black screen. The image in the rear-view camera was not visible, specifically in areas where there were reflective lights. The dealer was contacted and assisted the contact with the brightness options on the rear-view camera and stated there was no failure with the camera. The camera was not repaired or replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16.

While traveling at highway speeds, my 2017 GMC Yukon SLE suffered a sudden, catastrophic Active Fuel Management (AFM) valvetrain lifter and camshaft collapse. This caused an immediate and highly dangerous loss of vehicle propulsion in live moving traffic on I-95, creating an extreme physical safety hazard for my family. General Motors has extensive, documented internal corporate knowledge of this severe design defect under Technical Service Bulletin TSB #18-NA-073.

While driving my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 (VIN: [XXX]) in active traffic, the 10-speed automatic transmission suffered a sudden and catastrophic internal failure. Without warning, the vehicle stalled in the middle of traffic and forced itself into a hazardous "limp mode," severely restricting my speed and acceleration. This created an immediate, high-risk safety emergency, leaving my passengers and me vulnerable to a rear-end collision before we could navigate out of the live roadway. The vehicle was towed to an independent facility (Kenny's Transmission, Repair Order #XXX) at 65,579 miles. Diagnostic troubleshooting confirmed a "Number 6 Solenoid Code" and "Internal Transmission Mechanical Failure" (3-4 races away, total loss of reverse gear), requiring a complete replacement of the transmission assembly utilizing an official GM service part at a personal cost of $6,673.10. General Motors has previously acknowledged 10-speed transmission control valve defects and wheel-lockup hazards by issuing safety recalls for diesel variants, but gas-powered models like my 6.2L L87 engine are experiencing identical, highly dangerous sudden losses of motive power without federal recall protection. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this systemic failure rate on 2022 gas models before it causes a major collision. On many occasions, over several years of ownership, ''NEW in 2018, the trans has had violent shift Problems. I could only find 1, ONE instance where a person was "injured'' by ANY of the GM 8L transmissions. My neck is hurting Now. I'm compelled to do this for Others who been Scammed by GM as they still sell a 8 speed rewrapped. I can't believe this has been protected against being called a SAFETY ISSUE By any Gov. agency. I got my truck in Retirement and Know I can't and won't Tow a Trailer or Boat Like I planned to. If I cause a wreck, Knowing the Defect, I will be held Responsible, Not GM LLC. It just did something new on 7/23/26. it stuck I a mid range gear and wouldn't shift, I Bumped it into Neutral to slow down and Recover proper control. I've said enough, be safe if you Have an 8 Speed from GM, or a 10 speed too.Read UP.

I was at a red light, I went to drive as the light turned green and my car stopped and wouldn’t drive, I could go into neutral to get out of way but anything the car would stop. There is no codes or lights turned on my dash though.

While driving north in interstate 79, the brakes became very hard to push making it difficult to stop the vehicle. We got off the interstate and proceeded back home. The brakes were as hard as a rock to push and it was difficult to stop the vehicle. When this happened, the check engine light came on and stayed on. It was very dangerous to drive due to the brakes not working properly and the stopping distance was greatly reduced and it was difficult to stop the vehicle putting our family at risk for their safety. We took the vehicle to a repair shop and they checked and diagnosed the issue and told us the vacuum pump for the brakes was no good and needed replaced. We found that this is a common issue for breakdown on our type of vehicle. Repairs were made and the total cost was $352.24 including tax.
