at 16,000 miles Bank 1 lifters fail and replaced under warranty. now at 90190 miles Bank 1 lifters have failed again this time damaging the camshaft. I have all the service records for this engine and I was verbally assured by GM in 2021 that they would cover this repair until 100,000 miles. I know from looking on Google and talking with service advisors at GM that the 6.2L ecoTec3 V8 engines are having multiple problems related to my issue. GM should be able to warranty this engine to 100,000 miles and from past experience this engine should last 200,000 with good service.

I was passing a semi truck at 80 mph on the highway, after passing I tried to reduce my speed on the cruise control but got no response from my vehicle. I pulled off the highway and the engine was dead. I feel lucky to be alive the truckers were whizzing by at 80mph while we waited for a tow truck. The dealer has confirmed the engine is seized. There were no warning lights or other symptoms.

Tailgate comes unlatched and tailgate came down multiple times in motion and parked. Safety concerns loosing cargo and causing accidents. My vehicle is not included in the recall and dealer cannot help only repair for 146.80. I feel that my vehicle should be included to the already existing recall and reimbursement for repair.

LT275/65R20. We were traveling about 74 mph on Hwy 90 going westbound, when suddenly we heard an explosion and noticed pieces of the passenger rear tires coming apart. It was about 90 degrees when we were on the road, and I had checked the tire pressure earlier that day, and it was at the recommended tire pressure. At no point during our trip was there a low-pressure warning or we did not hit any object on the road. We would have had a severe accident if the tire had been on the front. The tread seems to have separated from the tire, causing major damage to the truck bed. The tire was manufactured in week 20 of 2022, and it still had a good amount of tread remaining. I do have front and rear dashcam footage available.

  • 2025 GMC ACADIA
    - Tifton, GA

I have had my 2025 GMC Acadia Denali for 1 week with 336 miles on it. When I went to start it on the evening of [XXX], I felt the brake pulse. Then the dash lite up with message to Service ESC. The brake icon was lite up red and ABS was lite up yellow color. I took my vehicle to our local Jeff Fender GMC dealership the next morning. The service tech did a brake pressure test which passed. He cleared the codes. When I went out to leave the dealership, the codes came back on. The service tech said it is NOT safe to drive because my brakes can fail at anytime. Service said they need to replace the master cylinder. With this issue, my brakes could fail & a horrible crash could occur causing injuries and/or death. Service rep told me this has happened to a new Yukon too. My husband called the dealership in Lake City, FL, where we purchased the Acadia from & spoke to a service rep. He told my husband he has seen this in Yukons, Terrains & Sierra pick up trucks. This brake issue with the master cylinder should be a recall due to the potential dangers of a horrible accident that can occur if the brakes fail. Vehicle went to GM for recall repairs on 02/24/25 the morning after when I cranked my car it was dead. Jumped the car off then began hearing a "clicking noise" GM advised I replace my serpentine belt as they noticed it needed replacement when doing the recall repairs. 02/26/25 serpentine belt was replaced but car still seemed to have power issues when cranking. 02/27/25 car barely cranked then while driving down the highway I lost all power and power steering to the vehicle. There was no warning, no check engine lights etc. The screen went black then car shut off then the screen said "press start to restart." I was BARELY able to get the vehicle safely off the road with vehicles in front, behind, and in the other lanes. It could have caused a fatal accident. GMC still has my vehicle with NO UPDATE on replacement engine timeline.

Transmission keeps skipping missing gears and hard shifting, as well as jolting forward. When attempting to switch lanes vehicle transmission skips. When being placed from Park to drive or any other gear vehicle transmission hard shifts. Vehicle radio and screen shut off intermittently every 30 to 45 minutes. Vehicle screen goes blank and black and resets itself after 30 to 45 minutes.

Original issue started at about 60K miles regarding hard shifts and clunking with acceleration with my 2017 Sierra 6 speed transmission. I had it inspected by the dealer when I purchased it, told it was normal for this model. Had it inspected by independent shops, told that this is a known issue, but not fixable without a new transmission. At 90K miles, began experiencing a whining sound while idling. Told it is in the torque converter/transmission housing but I could not afford the thousands of dollars for replacement/inspection. I had the transmission fluid serviced and changed as recommended with the dextran ATF that GM recommends in the manual both at 60K miles, and again at 100K miles as recommended. I also drive the vehicle reasonably, yet still at 130K miles had the transmission and converter fail. With no warning, no check engine lights or vehicle codes. Even after I lost 5th and 6th gear, there were no warnings or alert in my truck and despite the transmission giving out while on the highway. I feel this is a huge safety concern with both GM torque converter and transmission issues being known, as well as my vehicle not giving any warnings before, during, or after my transmission failing. I have had the warning lights checked as well, I’m told they are fully functioning when tested, so for some reason there seems to be an inherent issue with the truck’s warning system.

Transmission failure, hard shifting, slipping and loss of power also severe shuddering. Very dangerous driving. I had to have the transmission replaced after taking the vehicle to a dealership and upon verification from same dealership reproducing the transmission failure. Massive financial loss, dealership stated these transmissions are known to fail. Manufacturer has been notified by numerous complaints. Compensation is warranted
