The engine seized on the garden state parkway new jersey while driving. The car came to a halt on the parkway. This is very dangerous and I am reading that this is a know issue with these GMC Yukon denali engines. They are replacing mine witha refurbished engine on a car i own. I would like them to buy back my car as i dont feel safe driving this vechile. i had to tow the car from NJ to NY 1600 dollars which Gm will not cover. It was a highway tow and i wanted to get the vechile to safery. It was a sunday and i have 3 car seats in the car.

I purchased a 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate new in December 2023. It has 25,000 miles on it. Last week my wife was driving on the interstate and the vehicle abruptly shut down leaving her stranded on a narrow shoulder on a bridge. After it was towed to the dealer, the diagnosis was a connecting rod failure requiring an engine replacement. It was in the shop 2 weeks prior because the vehicle shifted into neutral on its own while driving at 60 mph on the highway, but the dealer found nothing wrong

My engine locked up on me 3 times without notice or warning at all while driving 75-80mph down the highway. All the times myself and my family were put in danger of being hit by traffic and the locations were the vehicle stopped was around a curve where other drivers wouldn’t notice until it was too late. Freezing cold and could stay in the vehicle scared we might get hit while inside. Second time it stopped at around 10:30om in the middle of nowhere in [XXX]. Even the cops couldn’t get us tow. Finally 6 hours later a friend had to come get us. I reached out to the GM CEO per email and no reply. I tried to get them to take the vehicle back and after supposedly fixing the engine after having it for 3 months I got it back with no loaner to use during this time. The engine failed again a month later. Again after supposedly fixing the engine it failed a third time. If failed the first time in January 2024 and the second time in May 2024 and then the third time in July 2024. I have anxiety and now taking medication from even driving this vehicle afraid it will stop again. Replacing the engine isn’t acceptable to me. Please help. The first place to to rebuild the engine Crossville, TN (Dave Kirk Chevrolet GMC), then it to Parks Buick GMC-Greenville: 2640 Laurens Rd, Greenville, SC 29607. and then to Loves Buick GMC, 736 Saturn Pkwy, Columbia, SC 29212. I have all the email sent to GM leaders and their executive leadership team. My vehicle had only 22,000 miles on it and I guess doesn’t fall under the lemon law in SC so they didn’t want to take it back. I feel helpless in this situation. Even getting a lawyer isn’t guaranteed a win and then I’ll be out of more money. Being a [XXX] this really sucks to be treated like my life and family life doesn’t matter. I bought the vehicle brand new from Jim Buick, GMC, Cadillac in Columbia, SC. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

    - Orland, CA

Engine failed due to a loss of oil pressure. Rod bearing failed which cause metal to be dispersed throughout the engine causing the engine to seize from a sudden loss of oil pressure from oil pump failure. Engine was replaced in June 2024 failure happened in May 2024. While driving a system message came on DIC that stated pull over immediately to prevent engine damage and no oil pressure. I was driving uphill with cars on my right in the #2 lane. Engine shut off before I could pull over resulting in decreased braking power and a lack of steering. I almost hit 2 vehicles trying to pull over to get my family to safety on the right hand shoulder. I couldn’t pull over to the left hand shoulder as there was a guardrail in the way. When I got my vehicle pulled over the only thing that stopped my vehicle from going over the cliff was a bunch of wood chips on the right hand shoulder. From the time the warning lights came on to the time the engine shut off and seized was maybe 5 seconds. It took 31 days to replace the engine and the dealership did an inspection on the engine. There was absolutely no warning there was any problems until the lights came on. My wife and [XXX] and [XXX] were in the vehicle at the time this happened. It was so dangerous where we broke down California Highway Patrol stayed behind my vehicle with its lights on. It was also a fire hazard with the exhaust sitting on the dry bark. Passing a semi up a hill going 75 and the motor shuts off. As the Yukon slowed, the semi slowed down as well. It was difficult trying to get the Yukon to the right shoulder. There was no warnings or anything on the dash. The vehicle just quit running. Tried restarting and it was like the battery was dead. Got it towed to a dealership and they said the engine was ruined from 6 of the 8 rod bearings disintegrating. Took almost a month to replace with the problem being so common and no engines available.

At 45K miles my 2022 Yukon 6.2L suffered a total engine failure on [XXX] just South of Atlanta, GA in rush hour traffic. My vehicle was completely inoperable and shifted itself into neutral. I barely made it off the road without getting hit. GM had my vehicle over a month and stated it had crankshaft bearing failure. No engines are available on a nation wide back log with no estimate on availability so I'm forced to go another route out of pocket to repair my vehicle. I purchased this vehicle new in 2021. It is an Ultimate Denali trim level with a 6.2 engine. Within the first year, the driver's side head on the engine had a massive failure with only 7,000 miles. I started up the vehicle and was parked idling briefly when several light came on along with a rough idle and some exhaust smoke. I contacted On Star, who could not diagnose the problem. The vehicle was disabled and ended up being towed to the dealer, where it was being repaired for 10 days. The lifters, valves and push rods were replace. The mechanic admitted there was an internal GM problem with the 6.2 engine. I asked for the same repair be made on the passenger side head. The GM dealer refused, knowing of the faulty factory installed parts. The polished tailpipe tips were not replace and were stained by the black exhaust. They are still stained this day. I purchased this vehicle for my retirement to tow my RV. Now, I have been reluctant to travel because of the other head letting go on me somewhere out west, operating under a work load. I know of two other people who purchased new GM vehicles with the 6.2 engine, who experienced the same failure, with around the same mileage on their vehicles.

My truck was put on an engine oil consumption plan at ~14,000 milee. Then a month later the engine complete seized while i was driving at 60 mph in the middle of southeast Missouri. The dashboard started flashing with a warning saying that I needed to press the start button. The vehicle came to a stop and i was unable to get it to turn over. I currently have a warranty claim with GM amd the vehicleis at Laura GMC in Collinsvill, IL awaiting a replacement engine. I have no confidence in GMs ability to fully resolve the issue. My life has been completely disrupted as a result of their lack of quality controls.

I purchased a 2025 GMC Siera Denali Ultimate in December 2024. Approximately 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I was driving down the road I received a message that said, "Service Suspension". I was able to call OnStar for diagnostic and the truck was throwing code C2A0A. I took the truck into the dealership to see what the issue was. The dealership said that I apparently ran something over and it must have flown up and broke a plastic sensor cover on the lower rear left shock. I never hit anything but have no way to prove. So, I had to pay $526 for a new shock. Even if I did run over something if that area of the shock is that sensitive it should be better protected especially if it's not covered under warranty.

at 8500 miles the engine had lifter go out while I was driving down the highway cause to truck to vibrate and becoming on unsteady causing me to pull over in the middle of traffic. later at 36500 miles it had another lifter go out this time I was driving home at a slower speed but still cause me to have to pull over vert fast as the vehicle became unsteady and vibrated causing all the alarm to come on. Both times the truck was fixed under warranty nut they replaced it with the same parts that are causing the problems. Soon my truck will be off warranty and this will come out of my pocket.
