They informed me Bulletin 22-NA-240 did not apply to the vehicle year (2019) was not included. They also informed me no work would be covered under warranty because it expired December 18, 2023. I continue to have to refill the coolant due to overheating, and oil is clearly present.

  • 2018 GMC ACADIA
    - Stow, OH

GM has acknowledged that there is a "Shift to Park" problem with 2017 and 2018 GMC Acadia's. This design flaw/ part failure does not recognize that the vehicle is actually in "Park" so you cannot shut off the engine. In addition, the dash lights remain on which eventually drains the battery. Sometimes the car will roll as if it's in Neutral. GM is very aware of this problem. However, they do not have a permanent solution. GM should be required to issue a nationwide recall to correct the situation by totally disabling the electronic part. In six years of ownership, I've encountered this problem 3 times: 5-14-19, mileage 13,266, 1-27-21, mileage 29,381and most recently 5-30-24, mileage 65,057. This 3rd repair cost me $721.88.

  • 2016 GMC YUKON XL
    - Myerstown, PA

I purchased a used 2016 Yukon xl may 20 2024. Over the last month only put 2k miles on it. I continue to receive a message to service trailer brake system. I dismiss this and it continues to chime and be a nuisance popping up blocking my dash from seeing important things like speed etc and the noise is extremely distracting as a driver. I’m unable to use the hands free talking through Bluetooth as it interrupts quite frequently. This makes driving an extremely dangerous and unpleasant ride

    - BERWYN, PA

the 2019 GMC Acacia with 54,000 has begun to not recognize when the car has been shifted into Park. Front dash reports shows it is in "P" but upon attempting to turn-off the car, Warning Message comes on to "Shift to Park". The car is not in park and will roll. I need to restart car, reverse and go-forward once or twice to finally be able to turn-off the car with it in Park.

One issue is that the system shows unconnected and the trailer lights blink or do not work. We’ve brought this in to the dealer 3 times and they have yet to resolve the issue. The other issue of melted plastic on our rear sliding mirror. It just appeared one day, possible after using the rear defog button. We took it to the dealer and they also do not know what is the issue. We found several other blogs where owners have had the same issue. This is a newer vehicle, and we live in Southern California where the temperature is mild. It just appeared one day. We are concerned This is a safety issue with the electrical system melting the plastic and possibly causing a fire. - Prentiss, MS

Tail lights went out. Lifters have been replaced TWICE! While stopped at red light, at take off the vehicles lunges forward. At low speed the vehicle will down shift on it’s own. 80k miles Recently while headed to work, the torque converter went out. 126k This is suppose to be a luxury vehicle and cost entirely to much to be a POS. I honestly thought I had a lemon but it seems to be a reoccurring issue in the entire fleet.
