Was driving from home to my job in Novi, MI. While driving at 70 mph on [XXX] [XXX] miles west of Grand Rapids the motor suddenly stopped. There was never any warnings on dashboard instruments, no audio signs, and no physical signs this was about to happen. Had 16% remaining oil life before next oil change per computer. Dealership is telling me there is no oil in motor and it has suffered a catastrophic motor failure after timing jumped. This almost caused a major accident at highway speeds. The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V334000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Vacuum pump is in the shop now being replaced for the 7th time in almost 6 years. The previous one was replaced in September 2023. You get no warning signs, then all of a sudden you can barely press down on the brake pedal. This started within the 1st year of purchase.

The transmission failed as I as was turning on to a highway. It seemed like it was rapidly shifting between two gears, but I could not accelerate for several seconds and had to immediately pull over into the ditch to avoid a high speed collision. I took it to the shop the next day. The transmission valve body failed, which appears to be a common issue as I've researched incidents like this online. The part was on backorder. Once it arrived at the dealership, the replacement valve body immediately failed again. Now a 3rd valve body is on backorder with no ETA. I've been without my truck for over a month now with no end in site, and I do not have confidence that a 3rd replacement is going to provide a proper and long lasting fix.

The contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, he became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort to maneuver the vehicle, after which the steering wheel jerked to center independently. The power steering assist warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V586000 (Steering), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 61,000.

The frame has rust through and broke on rear front leafspring mount of frame on both side . A very know problem with almost every one of these trucks

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the traction control message was displayed, and the vehicle started to lose motive power before the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle operated as intended; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions, but the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 58,000.

Frame rust on left rail at fuel tank . The truck was a 47 thousand dollar truck bought new 1 owner 11 years old frame has holes when is gm going to be held accountable. Toyota had frame recalls for this same issue .25 year + gm owner can't see me buying another gm product

The contact owned a 2016 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while making a right turn, a Dodge Ram truck ran through a stop sign causing the contact to crash into the truck head-on. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact's daughter arrived at the scene and transported him to the local hospital to be evaluated for brain, neck, left-hand fingers, swollen right leg, and back pain injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed but the police report number was not available. The vehicle was towed to a salvage junkyard. The dealer was not contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.
