2021 GMC SIERRA 1500- Cimarron, KS
The component that has failed is the engine coolant flow control valve AC Delco part number 55516369. Unfortunately the part is still installed on the vehicle. It has been taken to a dealer and this is a known issue but no recall has been issued. The check engine comes on sometimes but not always, sometimes the pickup has plenty of power to drive and sometime it will barely pull itself, all in the same trip without shutting the ignition off. The symptoms first started in December of 2023, but were sporadic, now it is nearly everytime the pickup is started. It is extremely dangerous to drive this vehicle when it has a problem. You cannot tell if it will accelerate normally or is you will push the pedal and it does nothing. The part to repair the problem is on backorder and no release date is yet available. We have been waiting for 3 months and still no word on when this will be repaired.

2019 GMC YUKON XL- Magnolia, TX
My vehicles Electronic stability control is activating randomly. This issue started a few years ago and has increased in frequency. We will be driving at speeds between 50-75 mph in dry conditions and it will randomly activate which has almost caused us to lose control of the vehicle. No mechanics have been able to figure it out. I did some research and saw there was a vehicle recall issued for 2019 GMC Yukons Electrontronic Stablilty Control system, but for some reason it does not cover my vehicle. The GM recall number is N192261050. The description of the issue matches exactly what is happening. I called GMC and issued a complaint and also have setup a dealership to fix the issue. I don't believe i should be responsible for paying the cost of the repair since other 2019 GMC Yukons were recalled for this issue.

2024 GMC TERRAIN- Blaine, MN
When shopping for a new Vehicle I noticed this but purchased the vehicle anyway. I attempted to look under the hood of my new GMC Terrain. I have a (hopefully temporary) handicap from a medical procedure I have been dealing with for over a year. I found that the hood assist springs or air shocks have been eliminated from the 2024 model. I can lift the hood on my 2010 GMC Sierra, but I had to have my wife help me lift the hood on my 2024 Terrain. My guesstimate is the hood weighs 50 plus pounds! Once the hood is lifted you have to install a rod (stick, like the old Model A and T cars) so the hood stays up. Yes, I am aware that Ford and Jeep have done this too, but that still doesn't make it right in my view. In this day and age of vehicle safety, and adding safety features to vehicles that I would never even have thought of, I can't believe this is OK! I can only imagine a mechanic bumping the hood rod, or a small child reaching up to boost themselves up to see what Dad or Mom is looking at or doing under the hood of the vehicle. This would cause a 50 plus pound hood to come crashing down on a person and that is OK? How about a short or elderly person? How much did the car manufacturers save by eliminating this feature at the consumers safety and cost? Maybe the manufacturers don't want us under the hood anymore, but then they will have to find a better way to add windshield washer fluid or check the oil or brake fluid.

2021 GMC ACADIA- Middlesboro, KY
Vehicle engine shuts off randomly while driving, car goes into neutral, and I have to stop and try to restart it. Sometimes, the vehicle struggles to start up and requires multiple attempts before being able to drive again. The engine then misfires, the car shakes aggressively, and engine will shuts off again 1-2 more times before it will start smoothly. This is obviously a safety issue as it happens while driving and could lead to a major collision. Been to the dealership multiple times. First time, the dealership was unable to find anything wrong and could not replicate the problem. The problem continued to happen and returned to dealership where they replaced the purge valve in the fuel system. Problem started occurring again and returned to dealership. Dealership kept vehicle for a week and was unable to replicate the problem. Showed the dealership a video of the problem and they replaced the fuel pump control module. A few weeks out from the fuel pump control module replacement and the car shut off twice while driving to work.
