    - Parrish, FL

On [XXX] brake system failure, service ESC, Forward Collision system unavailable and check engine lights came on the dashboard and the vehicle had no brakes. Taken to dealership and Conley GMC advised the Main Module was burnt out. $1200.00. Car was “fixed” and sent out. The next morning all the check engine light along with all other failure lights came on after module was replaced. Taken back to dealership and they advised that everything had to be manually programmed which was done and sent out. [XXX] same dashboard errors were up again. Taken back to dealership and they advised they needed to reprogram manually that was done and sent out. The next morning all lights were back on. It was the weekend so they wouldn’t take the car or provide a rental. May 23rd car was taken back to dealership and Conley advised the master cylinder was bad and had to order parts. $4300.00 in repair cost along with 2.5 week at the dealership and $150.00 in rental cost. I found online that GM knew of this issue with the 2022 GMC Yukon XL vehicles and a recall was made however this vehicle VIN number was not included in this recall. I notified Conley GMC and they stated they were not informed of this issue. I made a claim with GM and told them of this issue and my safety concerns and they advised that because this was not included in the recall that there was nothing they could do and they would not be covering financial assistance or reimbursement and they called this an inconvenience instead of a real safety issue as each time my vehicle had no working brakes. No working brakes causes safety concerns for everyone in the vehicle as well as other vehicles. All work orders are at Conley Buick GMC in Bradenton, Fl. - Menominee, MI

Traveling had an engine light come on. stopped at a dealer they inspected found multiple errors reset engine light and said continue home. when home bring into my dealer. Got home that night went to start truck, all kinds of errors started popping up on the dash, vehicle would not turn over at all. Had to call wrecker to have brought into shop. First issue could not put the truck into neutral at all, so they had to pull in park to put unto the bed of wrecker (that seems to be a very poor design of the truck). Brought truck into shop received a call two days later that it is fixed and working fine. Went to the shop asked what the problem was, told there is a ground strap under the truck that is like the main part to make sure everything works regarding electronics. The dealer has had to repair many of these ground straps, they are exposed to the elements and come loose I was told. They had two other GMC trucks in the shop with the same issue that day. the ground strap is exposed to the elements do not understand why this would not be covered just like a battery lead to stop from corroding and have to clean it or replace it. Not to mention there is no where in the service manual I can find about any maintenance that needs to be done with it. Appears to be a very bad design from the car manufacture.

  • 2026 GMC YUKON XL
    - Brighton, MI

The large central infotainment touchscreen (which controls climate control/AC, navigation/maps, audio, backup camera, and all primary vehicle functions) has repeatedly failed by going completely dark/blank without warning on my 2026 GMC Yukon Denali XL purchased new on [XXX]. The screen has gone dark on three separate occasions. First failure occurred prior to [XXX]; vehicle was taken to Champion GMC (7885 W Grand River Rd, Brighton, MI 48114) for repair and returned to me. The screen failed again shortly after. Second repair attempt was made on 06/22/2026; vehicle was returned and the screen failed again immediately. The vehicle is currently at Champion GMC for a third repair attempt as of 06/29/2026. Safety risk: Loss of the screen eliminates access to the backup/rearview camera, speedometer display, climate controls (heat and AC), navigation, and warning indicators — all while operating the vehicle. There is no warning, message, or dashboard indicator prior to each failure. The screen goes dark suddenly and without notice. The problem has been confirmed and repair attempted three times by Champion GMC. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. The component is available for inspection upon request, as the vehicle is currently at the dealership INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

  • 2024 GMC SIERRA 1500
    - Bristow, VA

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 equipped with Maxxis Tires, Tire Line: Bravo HT-750, Tire Size: 255/80/R17, DOT Number: 120NK10015028. The contact stated that after the front driver 's-side tire became flat, the contact discovered that the spare tire originally equipped on the vehicle failed to fit the front wheels but did fit the rear wheels. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the spare tire failed to fit the front driver's side wheel due to a factory-installed brake modification, causing the spare to not fit over the front brakes. The dealer replaced the front driver's side tire. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was unknown. The vehicle failure mileage was 14,000.

I was driving down the highway and the front Upper Grille Deflector flew off while at highway speeds. Due to the nature of being on a highly congested bridge, the grill piece flying off could've seriously injured not only myself, but other motorist around me. There is currently a GM recall (N242490120) out however, it only affects the 2022 model trucks. This makes no sense as this issue has been reported via threads and discussions on the internet for 2023 year models like mine numerous times. This is a serious issue and should be recalled just like the 2022 models. Not only am I now paying for a manufactuer defect out of pocket, but who's to say that the "new" part doesn't do the same thing and either I or another motorist is seriously injured or worse...killed.
