2018 GMC TERRAIN- Knoxville, TN
Car is losing go power when accelerating on to interstate. It’s like the transmission loses power, the d illuminates, and then it kicks in to drive. It puts us at risk for an accident and I had a semi almost hit me because of this. This has been reproduced at the mechanic shop as well. No warnings before this happens

2021 GMC SIERRA 1500- Fort Novosel, AL
Tailgate opens when driving and when parked. I thought something must of hit the button on the dash the first time it happened but now it is constantly doing it on its own. It has damaged the hitch.

2023 GMC SIERRA 1500- Carmel, IN
Traveling at 70 mph on cruise control, tapped breaks to turn off, multiple warning lights flashed, vehicle lost power, and breaks with multiple messages including “Break system failure, top speed 62 mph”. I lost all breaking control on the highway and nearly crashed into other vehicles due to inability to stop. Was able to pull over, turn off vehicle, and turn back on, when the breaks were working again but the vehicles acceleration was very slow. Currently at authorized repair shop. When dropped off, there were 8-9 active codes.

2022 GMC ACADIA- Jacksonville, FL
I had a noise in my front driver side and the car felt like it would pull or sputter. I took it to GMC and they said the bearings are miss threaded in the transmission and it is causing problems with the sputtering and control of the car. They said this is a known problem in GMC but they do not have a recall on the car or the parts to repair it. This is a safety risk because if the transmission is slipping then I could loose control of the car and crash. It can also damage other parts to the car. No warning light or check engine light came on in the car.

On or about [XXX], the Transmission Control Module, FAILED, on my 2011GMC Denali 2500 6.6 diesel. It was a KNOWN faulty part .General Motors was aware of the issue years ago. This part should have been deemed a Safety Recall item. Imagine, pulling a trailer down a busy Freeway, with Semi's presence. Module goes out, truck goes idle, people hurt or worse. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 GMC TERRAIN- Meridian, ID
My vehicle put itself in park in the middle of an intersection while waiting to make a left turn in the middle of rush hour traffic. The car could not even be placed in neutral to be pushed out of the way of oncoming traffic. Narrowly avoided a collision.

2020 GMC TERRAIN- Warren , MI
Driving down the freeway and all of a sudden got a service break assist notification and without warning I was unable to stop the vehicle. I was able to coast my way off the freeway and upon my exit I tried to pull into an empty parking lot but there was a fire fence I ended up crashing into which is probably what brought the vehicle to a complete stop. This is very dangerous and I have read numerous complaints from other 2020 terrain owners who have experienced the same problem. Mechanic stated I need need vacuum pump for brake booster which of course my warranty doesn’t cover. Something seriously needs to be done about this. My accident could have been a lot worse
