2022 HONDA ACCORD Complaints

The vehicle will sometimes brake even though no obstacle is present. This has occurred at highway speeds. The sudden brake event is jarring, and could cause me to be involved in a collision. The vehicle is relatively new, and covered by a factory warranty. I described the problem to the dealer's service department. The service department representative said he would not be able to repair the problem unless he could replicate it. The problem is intermittent, and is unlikely to be replicated. This means that the problem will likely remain unrepaired and dangerous.

Metal part of Rear upper and control arm bushings get rusty, they may come off the main piece and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. I have just put 25,000 miles on my Accord. Bought it a year ago.

There have been multiple instances of the car slowing or braking while passing other vehicles on the highway. In some cases the emergency BRAKE alert shows on the dashboard and the vehicle brakes on its own. In ALL cases there was no hazard or reason to slow or brake. This occurs often but intermittently. It has occurred in rain, night, day, sun, or other various atmospheric conditions and there seems to be no correlation other than the ACC is engaged at the time and we're passing other vehicles that are on the right side of the car. In several cases, there are other vehicles behind us while passing and the "brake check" occurrences have caused those behind us to have to brake hard or swerve to avoid us. It also creates a terrible habit for the driver of my car of using the accelerator when the BRAKE light illuminates in order to not get hit from behind. The dealer was notified and checked the car and claims there are no issues with ACC or the sensors. This indicates that the system gain tuning my be faulty or too sensitive and that the dealers are not able to make any changes to fix the issue.

Rear brakes make squealing noise when vehicle is placed in reverse while in motion. This issue has been happening within the first year I had the vehicle from new. Took the vehicle in for inspection with no reported issues. Noise still persists. Other Honda Accord owners have reported similar issues.

There have been multiple times where the Automatic Emergency Braking just slams on the brakes for no reason almost causing a rear-end accident.

Low tire pressure issues keep recurring. I noticed this since the day I bought the car. They told me that they had fixed it and this issue keep recurring. So far I have had to bring my car back for service at least 4 times since I bought it in 2022. This is a new car! I don't expect to keep having the same issue. I am not satisfied with the service at Hersons Honda service. Bad business. Please help me investigate the problem. Thank you very much. purchased vehicle on 11/22/23the next day the car slammed on the brakes to an almost complete stop while merging right onto a freeway onramp. it was a clear early morning with no cars in front or near. had there been someone close behind me they would have rear ended me. now since then today 12/3/23 back to back the same day within an hour the car slammed on the brakes when a vehicle turned right, without being close. i feel the vehicle is unsafe

My vehicle has fuel injector issues and Honda refuses to repair under manufacturers warranty although it's a safety issue and defects in their products . When my vehicle starts it misfires and causes the vehicle to go in limp mode disabling all safety features. No airbags or brakes etc . If these thousands of vehicles remain on the road it's not safe to drive. The vehicle stalls in the middle of roadways making it dangerous for everyone due to Honda bad quality control. While driving on a clear day with good weather, my car's Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) slammed on the car's brakes with no one in front of me whatsoever. I was driving over a bridge at the time, and it was my assumption that shadows from the bridge structures above caused the system to go. This is the second time the CMBS went off for no reason. I am lucky no one was behind me as the car slams on the brakes when CMBS goes off.
