On 17 July 2026, I was attempting to park in a handicap parking place at May Washington Hospital Center. The outdoor parking lot is to the right of the hospital entrance and consists of several terraced rows with each terrace a few feet below the one above it. I was halfway into the parking space with my foot on the brake when the car (2024 CRV Hybrid Touring) suddenly accelerated. I pushed the brake pedal but it had no effect. There were no warnings from the safety systems. The front driver side hit a light pole which was the only thing that stopped me from going over the curb completely and dropping down onto the car below. The low speed crash still caused a total loss.

2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid with approximately 91,000 miles. Vehicle is less than two years old, has received all required maintenance and mileage is predominantly highway driving. I experienced intermittent chugging/rough engine operation, particularly when the gasoline engine engaged at light throttle. There was no check-engine light. The vehicle subsequently displayed: “POWER REDUCED - Shutter grille system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer.” I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer. According to the technician's written diagnostic notes, no diagnostic trouble codes were present. During inspection, however, the technician found the engine coolant level low. The spark plugs were removed and the cylinders inspected. The technician found coolant leaking into cylinder #4, which was documented by borescope photograph. Honda authorized replacement of the cylinder-head gasket. My safety concern is that an internal coolant leak/head-gasket failure was present without a check-engine light or stored diagnostic trouble code, and the vehicle ultimately displayed a warning that power could be reduced. I am concerned that this condition could potentially result in unexpected reduced propulsion or overheating while driving. American Honda has also issued Service Bulletin 26-088, Product Update: 2023-26 CR-V Hybrid PGM-FI Software Update, dated August 7, 2026. Honda states that the update was developed “to better manage engine temperatures” by optimizing electric water pump operation. My Honda dealer has advised that the applicable campaign update will be performed on my vehicle. I am not alleging that the software condition caused my head-gasket failure, but I believe NHTSA should evaluate whether internal coolant leakage/head-gasket failures in these vehicles can occur without an appropriate engine warning or stored DTC and whether the condition could result in reduced power, overheating, or loss of propulsion while driving.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V366000 (Tires); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Two local dealers were contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The horn on all 2024 Honda CRV’s cannot meet any safefy standards. When honked it sounds like the Looney Tunes Roadrunner! My daughter almost got run off the road this week even though she was honking the horn. Newer models and older models do not have this wimpy horn as this is the third CRV I have owned.

When I bought the car, I noticed that it was drifting and I was having to have steer harder to keep it in the lane and I'm assuming it's contributed to the steering box or the gearbox, where there was a recall and nobody informed me about that and I would like to get that fixed as soon as possible but Clark not Honda in Pharr Texas keeps on telling me that they don't have appointments and that they're giving me the runaround. That's very dangerous as I have children in my car all the time. Thank you

My 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid experienced a severe total electrical failure that required a complete battery replacement. This massive electrical surge permanently damaged and corrupted the vehicle's infotainment head unit hardware. Ever since this power surge, the vehicle suffers from continuous, dangerous electronic malfunctions. Specifically, the Apple CarPlay and complete audio system intermittently freeze, crash, and shut down completely while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This instantly cuts off all live GPS navigation, map access, and critical audible and visual vehicle notifications. Even more dangerously, this hardware corruption has caused multiple false activations of the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), where the vehicle abruptly triggers sudden automatic emergency braking alerts with no obstacles present, creating an imminent risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. Apple Authorized Service Providers have run full hardware diagnostics on my personal smartphone and issued official certificates proving the device has 100% zero defects. Honda Corporate has also explicitly admitted in writing via official chat and email logs that the CarPlay system defect exists on their vehicle's side, yet they claim it is not covered under warranty. Multiple dealerships have actively engaged in constructive refusal to repair. Technicians continuously deflect the blame to my smartphone on paperwork to avoid opening a formal warranty Repair Order, even after I performed complete factory resets on both the vehicle and the device. Under Corporate orders to meet a Service Manager at a different dealership, I scheduled a manager appointment for 11:15 AM. However, the manager intentionally hid and fled the building to evade the scheduled inspection, leaving a severely defective and structurally unsafe vehicle on public roads.

Windshield wiper washer does not properly clean the windshield. Holding the wiper stalk in the spray position , the spray only squirts for a sec or so as the wiper blade is vertical . Not enough cleaning solution is deposited in the correct location to clean the windshield. All other vehicles I have owned spray solution the entire duration of the wiper stalk being in the spray position. This is the best way to insure that the windshield is properly cleaned for safe viewing.

My 2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid AWD has the very same engine and parts as the Canadian model. So far the Canadian version with the exact same equipment as well as the U.S. version has a poorly designed HEAD GASKET that have resulted in NUMEROUS engine failures with no warning. In CANADA the engines have been recalled for this safety concern and resulting catastrophic engine failure. My complaint is that since there are many drivers in the U.S. that have the EXACT same engine with the EXACT same problem deserve the SAME recall to correct this manufacturing defect that will result in an UNSAFE condition without repair.

I am reporting multiple factory defects on my 2024 Honda CR-V, led by a severe, confirmed steering safety defect commonly known as 'sticky steering' where the steering wheel sticks/notches while driving and requires excessive force to correct, causing dangerous lane swerving. The authorized Honda dealership confirmed the steering gearbox has failed and requires replacement but the necessary parts are backordered indefinitely, forcing me to leave the unsafe vehicle at the dealership. Furthermore, the vehicle suffers from two additional major unresolved warranty issues recorded under the same Repair Order: a defective door weather stripping seal that has peeled off and detached from the door frame, compromising cabin weather sealing, and a strong, musty mold odor emitted from the AC system on low fan speeds that poses an air quality and health concern for occupants. Due to this unaddressed steering safety hazard, additional factory defects, and backordered parts, the vehicle remains out of service at the dealership (visited on 11 July, noticed that it's unsafe driving and returned the vehicle to service on 16 Jul) and no replacement car has been provided.
