2024 HONDA CR-V Complaints

I went to the dealership to address this safety recall and was told not to worry about the issue and they have no parts to address it anyway. Honda dealerships are saying this is not a safety concern and not willing or able to address. How are consumers supposed to know which safety recalls are important?

I had the vehicle parked, when I returned and started the vehicle the steering wheel wouldn’t move to either direction it was locked. When I placed the vehicle in drive it started to back up. I still could not move the steering wheel. I placed the vehicle back into park, waited 3 to 4 seconds to analize the situation. I again placed the vehicle in drive and it would go in reverse altho in drive. I shut the car off waited a few seconds & I restart it. Now the steering wheel moved normally and when put in drive it went forward. My concerns are the vehicle steering wheel would not move & when placed in drive it would go in reverse.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after turning off the vehicle, the contact became aware that the rear cargo bay lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was a reoccurring failure. The contact stated that the 12-volt battery failed, and the vehicle was unable to be started. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that there was no failure with the rear cargo bay lights. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,200.

The back up camera is in black and white with low contrast. It occasionally flashes in color, but it makes it nearly impossible to use safely.

car shake when switch from EV to gas. Found out the fuel injectors is bad. I replace fuel injectors, now the car is fine. Car has 50,000 miles.

Power steering seems to "catch and stick" while driving then all of a sudden, the car veers a bit to one side. Then as you attempt to make a minor correction to drive straight ahead, it seems to over correct. If you are stopped with the engine running and just apply very light pressure on the steering wheel either to the right or left, the steering wheel will skip a notch or two in the direction you are holding the wheel yet the tires do not turn at all. Very disconcerting that you are going to wind up in the adjacent lane. Per several Honda owners forums, this seems to be an issue on 2024 CR-Vs.

All driving assistance features (Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruse Control, ABS and other sensing components) , warning flashing on dashboard and within a second of this message speed drastically reduced to 20mph from whatever speed on running. It does not allow me to escalate but after some time it escalates on its own. Due to reduce of speed suddenly puts me, co- passengers and other vehicles behind on risk of collision or even risk of life and same time unexpected escalation makes driver lose control. These incidents happen thrice even after service center says it fixed. This problem is reported to service center and Honda customer care. Currently the vehicle is with dealer service center.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the steering wheel seized. The contact depressed the brake pedal because the steering wheel failed to unlock to return to normal functionality. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and the steering failure message was displayed on the instrument panel. The steering wheel remained inoperable. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.

New vehicle with 3000 miles. Shaking and idling when car is switching from hybrid to combustion injection. Typically noticed at idle, when in stop and go traffic. Honda determined fuel injectors were the reason behind misfires and replaced the direct fuel injectors as well as the rack.

When starting the vehicle engine shakes and rattles, when motor is idling and charging the EV battery and also when going from EV to Gas and Gas to EV engine shakes and rattles. When accelerating the engine shakes and rattles. Engine feels sluggish and a loud ticking noise can be heard. Seems the engine is struggling and accelerating it feels the engine rocks back and forth. When transmission is changing gears I also feel the engine rock back and forth.
