2011 HONDA CR-V Complaints

The doors are automatically locking at 9 MPH while driving - when you initially pull out and meet the speed of 9 MPH AND then every time thereafter your speed is 9 MPH the doors will all lock. Passenger door and now rear hatch door does not unlock using the key remote OR the inside button to unlock. Currently all other doors are working.

Doors keep locking and unlocking while driving. Could be lock actuators defected.

The contact owns a 2011 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while pulling forward at approximately 3 MPH, into his driveway, after the rotors, calipers and brake pads were replaced; there was an abnormally loud bang heard. The contact stated that the rear driver's side control arm had sheared off. The contact stated that the drivers' side wheel was almost detached from the axle. The contact became aware of extensive rust on the rear frame and suspension. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 192,000. The VIN was not available.

My 2011 Honda CR-V's Check Engine Light came on within the past week, and continues to stay on. I went to Autozone to get a diagnostic check. Per their recommendations, I tightened the fuel tank cap but the check engine light is still on. It also diagnosed a P0455 EVAP, Emission Control System Leak Trouble Code. I have scheduled an appointment for 10/12/2022 at 12:00 PM at Christian Brothers, 12000 Bermuda Crossroad Ln Chester, VA 23831.

The contact stated that the vehicle failed to lock or unlock while using the key fob from outside the vehicle, or while pushing the unlock button inside the vehicle. The contact also stated that the vehicle would repeatedly lock and unlock independently while driving. The contact attempted to notify the dealer but was unable to reach a representative. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000. The VIN was not available.

Driver side air bag inflator pump is defective resulting into SRS light on occasionally. State inspection failed on vehicle due to the issue. Registered case with Honda but case is not assigned to any case managers despite calling 5 times. It’s been more than 3 weeks and still no answer from Honda. This was safety recall for the same part but entering vehicle VIN number in the safety recall tool shows zero recalls pending on the vehicle. Can you please advise what steps I should take now??)

The rear driver's side door remains unlocked unless physically locked. Locking with the fob or with buttons in the front of the vehicle does not work. This is dangerous for children as child lock does not function. A child could open the door intentionally or unintentionally and create a serious hazard for themselves as aell as other drivers. It is also dangerous as it allows criminals entry into the vehicle if the driver is not aware that this lock isn't functioning or merely forgets.

2011 Honda CR-V. Excessive rear frame corrosion resulted in rear control arm separation from vehicle. This was subject of recall in Canada but Honda USA not recalling here (upstate NY). Honda has recalled the Ridgeline and Element for very similar issue. The Issue caused me to almost crash and could have been injured. Rear driver side wheel came loose and went sideways causing me to skid off road. Passenger side of vehicle is near failure also. Vehicle gave no indication of failure before it happened. I had recently had wheel alignment and annual NYS safety inspections. Have been talking to Honda and dealer for 5 months. Refusing to help.

Actuator that controls locks has gone out twice in 3 years. It is approximately $500 to replace. Vehicle randomly locks itself over and over when powered on or off. Sometimes power locks will not unlock any doors including the hatch.

The back passenger door on the driver side keeps unlocking itself. Well driving and when parked. The key fob locks it but within seconds it's unlocked again.
