2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE Complaints

Seat belts come unbuckled randomly Has happened multiple times over the past 2 years with drivers seat and second row driver side seat. Switched second row car seat to LATCH install due to safety concern

The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving on the highway at 65 MPH, the contact heard a sound like a shotgun blast. The contact opened the sunroof shade and saw that the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact started closing the shade and the center glass started collapsing inside the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be inspected, and the contact was informed that the impact from a rock had caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The contact decided to take the vehicle to another dealer. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the second dealer that a claim would be submitted for the failure and the failure would be escalated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,296.

Rear passenger seat belt has repeatedly unlatched itself while car is in motion. Occurs without anyone pushing the release button. Has happened multiple times.

Drivers seatbelt is coming unlatched while I’m driving (maybe 5-10 minutes into the drive).

After about 10000 miles, started to notice a thumping sound then it got progressively worse. The ride started to get rougher and thumps all the time. Dealer verified rear shocks bad and ordered new set. Now at 14000 miles and shocks still on back order. Was told that this is happening all the time and that the replacement shocks are the same as what came on the vehicle. This does not solve the problem.Soon handling will suffer.

While driving to work, the seatbelt suddenly unlatched midway through the drive without any pressing of the release button, and nothing close to it that could have pressed on it. This happened while moving (not stopped at a light). The cars seatbelt warning system started beeping to alert that the driver was not buckled.

ABS shakes when crossing over different terrains. Car does not stop as fast as it should. I am afraid for the safety of my family and other drivers on the road if I can't stop. I have brought the car to the dealer several times since I bought it new and they say they can't recreate it. The last time, they recommended changing my brakes. I brought it to a private mechanic and they said it's not the brakes, it's the ABS. Then I come to find out that many people have the same problem and some have had accidents as a result of not being able to stop. There are 2 class action lawsuits calling for a recall. Please make Hyundai fix this issue before there are deaths on their hands.

Safety Risk: The growing crack reduces visibility and compromises the structural integrity of the windshield, potentially putting my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk. Reported/Confirmed by Dealer: I reported the issue to my Hyundai dealership, but they stated that there is no recall or warranty coverage for this problem. Inspection Status: The dealership acknowledged the issue but did not provide any solutions, leaving me to seek independent repair options. I have not yet involved an independent service center, insurance, or other third parties for inspection. Symptoms Prior to Failure: There were no warning signs or indicators before the crack appeared. It developed suddenly and unexpectedly, despite regular vehicle use under normal conditions. Additional Information: Upon researching online, I discovered numerous complaints from other Hyundai Palisade owners regarding the poor quality of the windshield. This pattern suggests a potential manufacturing defect that Hyundai has not yet addressed.
