The car would not brake when approaching a stoplight and I nearly ran into the vehicle in front of me. I had my daughters and a friend of theirs in the car and it could have been disastrous if I were to have not been able to brake and drove into cross traffic! This issue needs to be addressed immediately before someone gets seriously injured or dies!

Within the first month after the purchase in late August 2022, the car would shake when turning onto road. Depressing the gas peddle did nothing. The speedometer would not go over 20 mph, but the car was not moving, only coasting. The RPM would jump to over 3000 RPM. Again, the car is not moving, only coasting. There was no engine noise, only the sound of the gas pedal hitting the floor. Subsequent pumps of the gas peddle did nothing, but about 20-30 seconds of this behavior, the car would start to kick into Drive. There were no instrument panel alarms, warnings, or lights. By October 2022, the problem occurred every time I drove the car first thing after it had been off for several hours. For the rest of Fall, Winter, and Spring with temperatures under 30 degrees, this problem would occur. I have to use one of 2 highways to leave my home. Both highways were dangerous for this problem. I had to wait for no traffic as far as I could see, but with coasting speeds and no control, it didn't take long for traffic to catch up. In some cases, after a turn onto a highway or 2-lane busy street, there was no where to coast off the road. I used hazard lights a lot, but it was clear that the danger was significant. The third cold weather season is coming soon. The problem will most certainly occur has it has every year since we purchased it. The problem seems to occur at intersections where this is a greater than 5% grade. It does not occur on a flat grade. The dealer tells us that unless their diagnostic equipment from Hyundai USA cannot detect a problem, then they cannot do a repair. Even though the technicians witnessed the problem away from the dealership, they cannot make it fail at the dealership. They want to keep the car for days or weeks, but we've been through this and I turned them down. Hyundai USA keeps telling me to file a claim, which I did. To date, I have not received any further correspondence since I filed it.

The driver seat belt only locks sometimes. It also will unlock while driving. This is a safety issue if I'm in an accident I can be thrown from the vehicle. I contacted the dealership and they advised no recall has been attached to my VIN but it is under warranty still so they can fix. When the seat belt unlocks the seat belt light is triggered and the alarm goes off

While the car was in motion all the warning lights started going off for Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assistance, Parking Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Warning saying that they weren’t working and then the power steering turned off all the dash lights came on like the check engine, the oil light, battery, Car lock, Abs, Traction on and off, Tire pressure etc. then the engine turned off and would not start again.

Over sensitive ABS when going over bums or bumpy roads the breaks get really hard , makes a loud cranking noise and break peddle starts shaking really bad unable to bring the car to a complete stop I’ve taken it in and they said they couldn't mimic that reaction. It feels very unsafe specially when you have little kids in they car.

*Conditions: sunny, dry, about 70 degrees While driving at a lower speed (< 20 MPH), I started applying my brakes just before going over a railroad track. After starting to initially slow down, I crossed the railroad tracks and my brakes started pulsing very loudly but were no longer slowing down the car. Despite breaking about 5 to 6 seconds before the car in front of me, I just keep on rolling right up to the point where I was going to hit them and then the auto-safety stop slammed my car to a halt. I may have actually hit them, it was hard to tell. The driver even pulled over, got out and looked at their car, but gave me a thumbs up as if I didn't hit them. I'm extremely concerned that my brakes didn't work in perfect conditions when starting to break with PLENTY of time. I just went online to see if this has happened to others because it was so crazy, and it looks like there are numerous stories just like mine (i.e., when breaking on a bumpy surface). How in the world has this not been recalled?!!! My car has less than 20k miles on it and it has been regularly serviced via Hyundai dealerships. I have dashcam video to verify/corroborate my story. You can see that I was going slow to begin with, started breaking well before I needed to, you can hear my breaks grinding loudly, and the car is just not stopping until the last second before I'm about to crash where it slams to a halt from the automated stopping system.

ABS system activates when braking is applied over rough dry roadways, such as railroad tracks, rubble strips, or general bumps in the road, (minor potholes or manhole covers.)

While driving at slow speed I took my foot off the gas and applied pressure to the brake pedal. The brakes did not work properly; the brakes engaged and disengaged multiple times and the car continued to lurch forward almost resulting in a collision. This is a critical failure of the braking system and is extremely unsafe. In this scenario, I could have hit the car in front of me. Had I been approaching an intersection, I could have been in a severe collision. I brought the car to the dealership and they could not replicate the issue. They inspected the vehicle and did not provide any information on what could have caused the issue. No component was identified as the cause of the problem. No warning lamps were on prior to or after the incident. During the incident, I was not looking at my dashboard; I was trying to not hit the vehicle in front of me. The car has under 20,000 miles and has been driven for just over a year.

This has actually happened a few times. That stated, I KNOW I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt because my aunt was killed when she was a teenager (in the late 60's) when she was thrown through the windshield because she wasn't wearing one...so it was DRILLED into us. That stated, most recently last Thursday 8/8, I got in my car, buckled up, backed down my driveway and was 1 house away when my seatbelt came undone. It just like slipped out of the holder. Thankfully, I am in a subdivision so there is no traffic and speeds are slow. This has happened at higher speeds on main roads. It is really concerning that this happens. I don't know when it will happen or what triggers it. It has happened maybe 5 times.

I was driving home in the evening and we heard a loud explosion then shattered glass. When we pulled over to check, our sun roof had exploded outward.
