2011 INTERNATIONAL PROSTAR- Yellow Jacket, CO
The contact owns a 2011 International Prostar. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle became very unstable and difficult to control. The contact stated that the failure mostly occurred while driving on poorly paved roads. The contact stated that the failure was due to improperly installed air brake canisters during the manufacturing of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local service center on several occasions for failure but no cause of failure was found. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 225,000.

PURCHASED A USED PROSTAR FROM INTERNATIONAL AND IT HAS BEEN A LEMON. INTERNATIONAL KNOWINGLY SOLD THIS TRUCK WITH THE ENGINE, EXHAUST SYSTEM DEFAULT. EGR AND EGR COOLING SYSTEM CONTINUE TO BREAK DOWN WHEN IN OPERATION CAUSING THE TRUCK TO SHUT DOWN WHILE IN OPERATION AND LEAKING FUMES INTO THE CAB. THE TWO TIMES THAT IT HAS SHUT DOWN I WAS TRAVELING IN CITY TRAFFIC, THANK GOD AS I WAS TRAVELING VERY SLOW. GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAINTAIN CONTROL. *TR
