  • 2025 INTERNATIONAL LT
    - Foss, OK

The contact was the operator of a 2025 International LT62F company vehicle. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving with another truck in front of the vehicle that was attempting to slow down from at least 200 feet away, the automatic braking system erroneously activated, causing a false positive reaction with the brakes warning system detecting a possible crash with a brick wall, causing the Autonomous Braking and Lane Assist system to slam on the brakes of the tractor and the trailer. The contact stated that the force caused the vehicle to slide to the left, with the momentum of the trailer being hauled. There was no accident reported. The contact sustained a strain of the right shoulder from the seat belt locking. Medical attention was not required. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the radar was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. - Grand Prairie, TX

August 17, 2024 makes a year of when i purchased my 2018 international LTA26 6X4 . The vehicle has been to several shops (Westrux International) where i paid for service that ended up being a recall for (Velocity calibrations) which did not fix the problem. (Southwest) is the next shop i took my truck to However, the mechanics were still unable to determine the cause of failure. I have researched on NHTSA and found recalls (Connecting Rod May Crack and Cause Engine Failure) that relate to my problem i'm having with my truck.
