2018 JAGUAR F-TYPE- Miami , FL
The car sometimes has a hard time to start engine. I have to pump the gas pedal numerous times quickly to finally get the car to start. Other times the car starts normally . Also sometimes when the engine is on and in the park position ; the engine may turn off. The auto off button has been eliminated from the problem because I turn that off; so this issue should not be associated with that component . Perhaps it’s a failing fuel pump or perhaps the valves get stuck flooding the carb making it too lean. I still have not figured out the issue but I am concerned driving the car since sometimes I won’t start .

2019 JAGUAR I-PACE- Sarasota, FL
I received a Recall Notice dated 7/18/2023. I reached out to the manufacturer to obtain the new battery. As requested, I took the vehicle to my local dealer at which time they verified with corporate that my car needed the new battery as noted. I was told that the car could catch on fire because of the faulty battery. I was, of course, afraid to drive the car with me or passengers. I made many calls and sent emails to two different corporate reps at Jaguar. Many calls were not returned and emails were not answered. I believe that my local dealer also reached out to corporate in my behalf. I was advised that the car should not be garaged or close to any structures. Because of this, my car was moved to the street. Jaguar never got back to me to send the new battery to my local dealer for replacement. Had they replaced my battery in a timely manner, the car would have been stored in a garage when not in use. Since the car was exposed to the elements for Safety reasons, it blew up during the hurricane Helene on [XXX]. I am very disappointed with Jaguar Corporate for not fixing my recall so that my car could be in a safe place during Florida hurricanes. I feel that Jaguar owes my the value of the new battery to enable me to buy a new vehicle. Please advise. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 JAGUAR F-PACE- Los Angeles, CA
Car doors would not open from the outside of the vehicle and would not respond to the key fob’s signal either. The only way to get into my vehicle was to in climb through the trunk – which is a major safety concern. This first occurred on Janurary 13, 2023, and the dealership has been unable to resolve the issue since then, despite multiple attempts to do so.

The results of this voluntary recall is not acceptable with the owner of this vehicle. Please read the attach document. I am requesting that NSTSA require that they replace all the batteries if that corrects the issues. If not then they should replace the car.

2003 JAGUAR VANDEN PLAS- GRAND RAPIDS, MI
I am writing to report a serious incident involving unsafe and negligent repair work performed by Arie Nol Auto Center Inc., an auto repair shop in Kentwood, Michigan. The shop’s conduct has not only caused personal distress but also raised significant public safety concerns. In December 2023, Arie Nol Auto Center diagnosed my 2003 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas as needing a new water pump and mass airflow sensor. After allegedly making these repairs, the vehicle was parked in my garage. However, in May 2024, when I attempted to drive the vehicle, the engine warning light illuminated, and the oil system displayed dangerously low levels. Upon inspection, a retired mechanic discovered that the car had no oil, and the oil cooler bypass was missing. The vehicle leaked oil profusely, which could have led to a catastrophic engine failure or a road hazard. I believe the shop’s negligence could endanger not only vehicle owners but also other motorists. Given the potential risks associated with this type of negligence, I request that the NHTSA investigate this matter to determine whether broader safety violations are present. Repair shops that disregard safety should not be permitted to operate unchecked. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Vehicle will lose power intermittently while driving and sometimes when you try to start the vehicle it will be come dead. I’ve replaced the battery and the problem still occurs. A few nights in a row the alarm system would just beep for no reason . I changed the key fob battery and that didn’t help either. The engine makes a weird noise and constantly jerks.also the engine shakes extremely bad even though I’ve had a tune up, I’ve called Jaguar consumer services to find out about past recall details and was advised that information wasn’t available to them if the services were actually completed or just cleared out & I’d have to call the service center that completed the recall/repairs. It’s impossible to do so as I’m not the original owner. Jaguar advised they couldn’t help and this is very common for the power train in these vehicles to malfunction however the manufacturer isn’t being accountable. Also when I checked the recalls on NHTSA & Jaguar websites It indicated there’s no recalls, however when I called Jaguar consumer services I was advised of 2 recalls/campaigns that relate to the engine light. I’ve had a similar issue with a Range Rover that we checked for recalls and they were cleared from under the vin but the service wasn’t performed and when we experienced the issue we were charged on 2 occasions and once I discover the issue previously had a recall they refunded one of the issues, they’re all under the same umbrella and truly need to be investigated. I hope more people learn about reporting these issues to the nhtsa and other outlets instead of just reporting to Jaguar because they truly only want to get money out of the situation and don’t want to be accountable for the defects of there vehicles.
