2020 JEEP GLADIATOR Complaints

The information screen in the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tachometer went blank. Sometimes it will light up blue or even function. The screen is the display for fuel, temperature, odometer, gear selected, etc. From what I have read this happens to many of these vehicles. The fix dealers are using is to use remanufactured parts which are back ordered with no known date of delivery. I am informed the remanufactured part is about $500 not including labor. The vehicle will run and drive, however I won't know how much gas I have, I don't know if the vehicle is overheating, and I don't know how many miles I have traveled without trying to track it. If I want the new part to have an accurate odometer I have to leave it with the dealer for an unknown period of time. This seems potentially unsafe and likely to impact many vehicles given that the part is remanufactured and back ordered. A systemic flaw of this nature seems like something which could warrant a safety recall.

My 2020 Jeep Gladiator has a defective instrument panel screen. This appears identical to the current documented model recall yet Jeep does not include my VIN on the list of recalled vehicles. The current recall number is: NHTSA 24V-652. This presents a serious safety issue and I hope that someone from NHTSA is looking into this.

The instrument panel on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has gone blank. No water temp, no oil pressure, no odometer, no gas gauge (VIN [XXX] ). This is 2nd complaint form. I realize gov shutdown has effected the process but 2 days after report 1st I saw an article that said NHSTA had opened investigation on this problem. Center dash LCD screen blinked in and out and then went completely black. Cannot see odometer, maintenance messages, warning messages, or the fuel gauge.

2020 Gladiator Rubicon 7" gauge cluster went blank and no longer displays fuel level, mileage, or any other data. Lack of fuel and or mileage reading could result in running out of fuel in risky situations. Problem has been noted by many other owners of the same vehicle and is similar to the issue seen with the 3.5" display. No prior symptoms or lights were present. The problem just occurred within the last week at around 74k miles.

Instrument cluster does not work. I cannot see oil levels, gas levels, speed (digitally), any warning lights, or miles on vehicle.

The main instrument cluster went blank while driving down the road. This happened without warning or notice. I lost speed, fuel, turn signal, engine data, tire pressure, etc. I’m driving blind. I’ve read that there was a recall initially issued in 2024, that only covered a little over 30,000 vehicles. According my VIN number, I was not covered under that recall for some reason. I am officially reporting this issue for my VIN number.

My Jeep Gladiator has recently been having multiple random error messages popping up. ABS warning, service 4WD, service shifter, traction control and others. Dealership charged $200 to diag a bad ABS module and charged $1400 to replace the module and controller. Less than 24 hrs later same issue occurred . Doing my own research this seems to be a common issue not just with Gladiators but other Jeeps as well. Many forums are saying it’s bad wire connectors or broken wires from improper initial installation. Causes issues with speed control, braking, and power steering.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster failed to display pertinent vehicle information. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the instrument cluster. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE25014 (Electrical System). The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 49,000.

The instrument cluster failed back in the Spring. We took it to the dealer where it sat for 4 weeks while the part was back ordered. We took it back from the dealer and changed the batteries, the panel started working again for 3 months the and ultimately failed again. We have tried to manage the gas, but have run out twice on the highway, coming to an unexpected stop with little time to pull over. We can't see warning lights, gas level, cruise control status etc.
