It could disable SOS features and vehicle information, such as; fluid temps, suspension angles, and other necessities needed for safety and proper operation. Warning lights will also show up in the dash due to safety items potentially being disabled due to screen changing things by itself.

While driving at freeway speeds, my vehicle suddenly lost power, creating an immediate and serious safety hazard. I was unable to maintain speed, making it extremely difficult to change lanes safely or keep up with traffic. This put me—and others on the road—at significant risk of an accident. During the incident, the check engine light was flashing continuously. The issue was diagnosed as a failure of the engine rocker, requiring major engine repairs at only 87,000 miles. A critical engine component failing at this mileage is concerning and suggests a potential design or manufacturing defect. I’m filing this complaint to ensure others are not placed in similarly dangerous situations.

In the cold weather, usually under 40degrees, sensors come on alerting me that stablisation is disabled, auto start/stop is disabled, check engine light comes on, parking brake illuminates and does not turn off while driving, cruise control does not work, radio information cluster intermittently works etc. It's seems to be all electrical. I have taken it to the dealership several times and they can't figure out what the issue is. At first they said the auxiliary battery was bad and I paid over $400 for a new battery and still have the same issues.

The “Service Electronic Stability Control” message appeared on the dashboard. This was the first noticeable symptom, and it started about 2-3 years ago. Also, my check engine light is on all the time. I cannot remote start. I few times, I’ve had issues with the brakes and my jeep not starting.

Headrest on driver's side just "exploded" open while we were just sitting in our driveway. It hit the back of my head and made a very loud sound. It could possibly have caused an accident if we were driving at the time. Local Jeep dealer says this is not covered by an ordered warranty extension although other similar older vehicles with this same issue are covered. Estimated cost of repair by the dealer over $800.
