There is an extended recall regarding the driver and passenger seatbelts in 2014-2015 Dodge Durangos and 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokees, number D-21-04. My driver seatbelt retracts very slowly and the passenger seatbelt does not retract at all without manual manipulation. Because of this safety issue I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee into a dealership in January 2023. At the time I was told parts (X90) were not available yet. I have since called monthly because my car at this point is unsafe to drive with passengers without a repair. Today (June 2023) I was told that there is an indefinite backorder and there is no estimated remedy for the part. The service technician from the dealership indicated that the part is likely not being manufactured anymore. He indicated that my only option was to either drive an unsafe vehicle, stop driving it, or sell it. I was informed that Chrysler would likely not be manufacturing a fix for another 6 months to one year.

The oil cooler is made from an inferior material resulting in warpage and leakage. That leakage happens prematurely and poses a fire risk from oil leaking from the top side of the engine onto the components below, including but not limited to the exhaust manifold. The component is currently being replaced by the dealer due to catastrophic failure, resulting in oil and coolant mixing. I have found multiple forums that discuss this topic and have not been as lucky as I to have found it early. There were no warnings, no discernable puddle of oil under the vehicle, just an oil trail down the rear of the engine that is not immediately discoverable. The dealer knew to look for this as it is a common failure that could have larger consequences and Jeep should be held responsible for the inferior material selection that warps due to the higher temperatures an engine faces.

My cam failed after lifter got stuck at 65k miles, dealership repairs went bad after the first repair attempt they covered. I drove the jeep 19 miles after I bought it.. Then the low oil pressure light came on as the engine locked up. Was at dealer 6 weeks but it was not repaired correctly before i picked it up. On the way home from dealer oil pressure light came on half a sec before the engine seized up. I had to walk 5 miles and get a row truck from my work. 14 days to repair it after I purchased a new mopar long block. Dealer installed in 2 days. Cam lobs where gone and oil was almost magnetic due to camshaft lifter contact. I live in Michigan and i was half tempted to drive to fca in auburn hills just to show them 4 identical camshaft lifter failures I have seen in 3 years from friends and customers. I will probably have to file a lawsuit to recoup some if not all of the last repair cost. Old engine was dealership served at 3 to 4k miles religiously and it still failed. My jeep is ok now after paying for new engine before i even drove it home once. 2 months and $38k plus a few thousand in repairs all due to a shady dealership named Feldman automotive group.I don't think this is morally correct on any level. Makes me sick to pay 40k for the 2014 jeep grand cherokee srt used with low miles and tons more in repairs the first 29 miles. 2 months of hell. plus it ruined my financial stability. Why doesn't the dealership warranty a repair they did before a sale if it fails the same day. Something need to rectify my financial loss before I snap thinking about it 24-7. Feldman automotive group should of covered second repair attempt as first was unsuccessful.
