2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE- Linwood, KS
The passenger side active headrest restraint spontaneously engaged and will not reset. I was a passenger when it happened and it struck me in the back of the head. I’ve noticed many others with my year, make and model of vehicle have had similar issues, but Jeep is not wanting to accept there is a manufacturing default. Luckily it wasn’t my drivers side headrest. But it could be next time and potentially while I’m driving. There were no warnings prior and it’s extremely rare that anyone rides in that seat.

While backing down my driveway, the headrest popped forward suddenly. There were no indicator lights or warnings before it happened. I consulted a mechanic regarding a repair/replacement. A new headrest ($1000) is required because the plastic pieces inside are broken. I am concerned about the passenger side doing the same thing while I am driving and especially if I have a passenger.

All the door hinges need replaced. Very difficult to open and close the doors. I called Jeeps headquarters and they gave me no info on this matter. The replaced hinges are$100 apiece. I believe this a safety concern, not bring able to open the doors easily.
