Front passenger active headrestraint defective. Headrest activated erroneously when plastic brackets holding steel bar broke. This caused the headrest to forcefully extend/deploy forward. Driver side headrest was not affected. Steel bar remained captured in claw which would have released steel bar if vehicle should be rear ended thus causing active headrestraint to engage (note: vehicle was not hit in this case). Should this occur with passenger in seat or to driver side while vehicle in motion it can cause an accident or injury to seat occupant.

HID headlight bulbs were replaced by dealer. Upon return of the vehicle I tested the light pattern at night on an unlit road and the results were not stellar. There are 2 noticeable dark areas on the roadway imparting vision and clarity of the roadway. Returned to dealer and let them drive the car at night. They told me that there are two dark areas in the light pattern and that they are caused by “burns” on the inside of both headlight lens. I was informed that they need replacement to the tune of $1300.00 each. The service manger informed me that he could try to disassemble the headlight housing and “polish” the lens with no promise of success. The area of the lens causing the distortion is directly in front of the projector portion of the housing. To me it appears to be a design or material selection issue. Also interesting is that the areas of distortion look differently in each lens, the passenger side is cloudy, whereas the driver’s is granular. Pictures are difficult to take but my best effort are included.

I have received notices about Recall W79/NHTSA 20V-699 "Important Safety Recall". I went to my local dealer and they told me the parts are not available. They said they would put me on a waiting list, but that I'm number 162 on the list and they are currently working a number from November of 2019. I called FCA to complain. They directed me to another dealer in the area. That dealer made an appointment and then canceled it due to no parts availability and said they'd put me "on the waiting list". They gave no time frame. I just received another notice urging me to get this urgent safety recall fixed. My take is that FCA is dragging their feet in hopes that the longer they delay, the less repairs they will have to do.

May 3,2021 while driving on Route 93 south I drove over a rough patch on the road as soon as I felt the bump in the road I heard a very loud pop. I pulled into a gas station and inspected my car that's when I discovered the passenger headrest deployed, fortunatley I was alone at the time. No one was hurt.

Happy Wednesday: Issue 11427346 THATS MY ISSUE TOO. This is occurring with my vehicle with many others. I found out today Power Steering Fluid ran out and was empty but no leak is detected. It is the Steering rack where the fluid is going so it is undetected which can cause gears to lock up and crash since owners do not detect a leak and do not know where it is going. I got an oil change and they told me it was almost empty buy inches and to get parked ASAP until it was filed and that there is an issue. Miracle DODGE/Jeep in Gallatin, TN said there must be an issue when we went to buy the power steering fluid at a dealership since the Jeep only takes MOPAR Hydraulic fluid at 22.00 a quart. They are aware there is some issue if the fluid is empty but no leak detected by me or anyone else looking for one. This is a issue with crash potential. It could have killed me if i ran out 100% and my gears locked up. My time is spent taking my cancer stricken mother to the Drs office and had II not got an oil change? I would never know and my gears would have locked up. Many have reported. Why is this not a recall since the Steering rack being replaced is a $2000.00 cost to fix. I have 68, 500 miles on my Jeep 2014 GC Limited with low miles?. This is unheard of. First, the faulty Engine Oil sensor $450.00 to fix, then the faulty seat belt clip breaking which was covered by you all and fixed..Now? The Power steering rack eating up the Power steering fluid and leaking onto brake boots which mine look rusted so that would explain that but unseen by the driver? HELP me and others who have reported this since 2020. Make it a RECALL ASAP. Nobody has $2000 to $3000 to fix faulty issues with these Jeeps. Please HELP!. My stress levels are at an all time high from this newest issues with my Jeep. I am not sure how much more I can handle with these faulty issues. I feel like we all need to do a class action lawsuit. Thank goodness for my Oil change.
